Summoner (Discussion)

The summoner would be a profession that doesn't do anything itself, it instead summons creatures and objects that do its masters bidding. It would be similar to the summons of the Asura title line but it could also be expanded to summon plants and objects(instead of just creatures).

  •  Creatures could be used to: deal damage, inflict conditions, heal allies.
  •  Plants could be used to: immobilize the enemy(grab onto them), distract the enemy (through its scent, pollen)
  •  Objects could be used to: block attacks (could be shields, walls), be thrown at the enemy(like spears, arrows, daggers), aid allies(give them special weapons/armor).

Creatures/objects would be able to be summoned for an unlimited amount of time, but only a limited number of creatures/objects could be summoned at any point in time. For example, a level 10 Summoner could have 10 summoning "points." The more advanced the creature/object being summoned, the higher the number of "points" that they would cost. For example, if you summoned a Mursaat to do your bidding, it could cost 5 summoning points, while a Mergoyle would only cost 1 summoning point. When you release the Mursaat from your control, you regain the 5 summoning points, and either the creature/object disappears or becomes hostile and attacks your party (similar to when a Necromancer dies, and the minions attack anything and everything). When something you summon is either killed or destroyed, you regain the summoning points would be regained.

Why this is a good idea
  •  It's fun to summon things.
  •  It has already been used to a small extent(Asura skills).
Why it may not work out
  •  Could be overpowered?
  •  Could be boring(you wouldn't do much yourself)?
