Justice's Idea

issue
only elite energy management a monk likes is Blood is Power.
Suggestion

5 Energy¼ Activation time5 Recharge time

  • Target foe is struck for 10...42...50 holy damage and is set on fire for 1...4...5 seconds. If this spell hits a foe whose attacking you gain 5...9...10 energy.

Decent damage and decent energy. No dinking around trying to keep a bunch of foes hexed and no worrying if foe is just about to die or not.--Justice 11:12, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Issue
This skill is only useful as energy management, which usually isn't a problem in Smiting Prayers builds. Giving it some sort of damage would be a good idea - but making it like Empathy would break it completely. Instead, modeling the damage of this skill after a skill such as Images of Remorse would make it useful to cast on attacking foes, while not giving it a passive damage capability. It would also not force an enemy to stop attacking because they would not suffer damage, still giving it fair energy gain abilities.

5 Energy1 Activation time5 Recharge time

Elite Hex Spell. (5...21...25 seconds) You gain 2 energy whenever target foe hits with an attack. Initial Effect: Deals 20...49...56 holy damage if that foe was attacking.
