Riotgear's Issue -- 12:11, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
- A major problem with Paragons has been the fact that they're simultaneously an offensive and defensive powerhouse, and the overall damage level and attack speed of spears under Aggressive Refrain is a large part of the offensive side. The Cracked Armor addition helped, but they remain difficult to harass for a number of other reasons, i.e. non-time-sensitive skillset, high health, Cracked Armor fuelling Restore Condition, etc. At the same time, Aggressive Refrain has also marginalized any other IAS option. Why take a stance or Soldier's Fury, for example, when you get Aggressive Refrain permanently?
- Suggestion
- Change from +25% attack speed to +33% Adrenaline. The 4-adrenaline staples will charge in the same amount of time, their overall damage level will be reduced.
Anon's Issue 90.47.39.23 02:05, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
- The cracked armour makes it unsuable in pve since IA-controlled allies with condition removal will burn their energy to remove it.
- Suggestion
- Make it cause a normal -20 armour penalty instead.
Spura's Issue
- Issue
- Stapled on the skill bar
- Makes paragon autoattack DPS really really high, provking nerfs of support skills(which makes no sense)
- Remove Cracked Armor
- Suggestion
- Change to "attack skills cost 20% less energy and recharge 25% faster"
- Change makes it worth using only for spear focused paragons with lots of attack skills
- Current builds with a single energy attack skill will no longer benefit much from this
- Overall DPS is reduced compared to 25% IAS.
- Less adrenaline gain.
- Reduced DPS makes way for stronger support skills.
Anon's Issue 90.58.190.14 21:16, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
- It still applies a crappy condition that burns AI monks' energy pools.
- Suggestion
- It shouldn't.
- Idea
- Remove the condition, make it give -24 armour while attacking and be done with it. It has been months since people that want to play a paragon in PvE have to go IAS-less (minus PvE-only skills and that elite that, well, consumes your elite). The only build that allows you to go IAS-less without sucking in the imbagon. Why do you force the imbagon on them?
Lann's Issue -- 12 June, 2008
- Issue
Gives you your own cover condition, not as useful in PvE
- Suggestions
- Make PvE/PvP versions of the skill, the PvE version reverting back to its old form with no cracked armor
- Make it so it gives you - however much armor, all the time or only while attacking (similar to "To the Pain" Inscription) while it is in effect.
Astohan Issue, 6 September 2008
- Issue
- Cracked Armor in PvE
- Too easy to maintain, brainless
- Suggestion
- Decrease the duration, increase recharge time
- Remove Cracked Armor
"For 5...17...20 seconds, you attack 15...29...33% faster, but you have – 24...13...10 armour while attacking. (15 , 2 , 25 )."
The Problem with Paragons
- Issue
- See below
- Suggestion
- → moved from ArenaNet:Skill feedback/Paragon/The Problem with Paragons
- Aggressive Refrain. 25 1 20 .
- Echo. For 5...21...25 seconds, you attack 25% faster but have Cracked Armor for 20 seconds. While attacking you have -12...9...8 armour. This Echo is reapplied every time a Chant or Shout ends on you.
- OK, in essence Cracked Armour alone was too poor a nerf since it has little effect or can be used to help you. This is better.
- TALK PAGE: After reflection, this suggestion has been withdrawn (or at least deemed to be of low priority) though IMO the Cracked Armour is still a bit clumsy.
