Pretty much spot on, cant rly use it against warriors, they just stop attacking while you cast for two seconds. --Lou-SaydusHow dare you put that damned dirty thing on me! 22:36, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

lower casting time to 1 second should do it--Skye Marin 04:18, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
I agree. I would suggest 10e-1c-7r, slightly higher recharge to compensate for faster casting. 7 seconds recharge would also fit its buddy "Glowstone", which is also on a 7s recharge. --Longasc 08:11, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
(addendum) A 2 second cast makes casting it on attacking or moving foes too much of a gamble. --Longasc 08:12, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
I don't think it would be overpowered if it had 5 seconds recharge. It will still deal less DPS than Stone Daggers (due to it being less spammabe) and that would fit it's other buddy Stoning.
After some thinking, I agree with you. 7 seconds would be ok. Nicky Silverstar 07:52, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
you can also smack a 5 sec blind onto it mate, really won't be broken. Earth needs teh love. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 21:27, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
I agree. I like the fact that Earth has that weakness chain, but I dislike the fact that you need a secondary to make it work properly. 145.94.74.23 09:22, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
I agree that earth needs a buff, because it is more focused around defense, but protection prayers does a better job (aegis=>ward against melee, shield of absorption/shielding hands=>weakness etc).Crimmastermind 07:24, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes, but Earth isn't all about defense. This suggestion is meant to improve its offense. 145.94.74.23 13:31, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
I don't understand your comparison, to be honest. Protection Prayers is certainly different than Earth Magic, but other than that, it's comparing apples to cement trucks. 145.94.74.23 08:56, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, it kinda is similar (wards, +armor skills etc), but not really. The trouble is, earth magic doesn't have any unique feel to it (fire magic=burning, ice magic=snares, air magic=armor penetration). Earth magic seems to be just a bunch of skills that don't have great synergies tacked together (glowstone/stoning have no viable weakness application, what does wards have anything to do with earth? AoE damage skills are weaker than fire magic in terms of damage but seem to be kind of like the idea of smiting prayers (punish the foe for attacking/kind of protecting your team (KDs, wards, eruption that does little damage but blinds etc).Crimmastermind 03:59, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Earth's 'thing' is the fact that it can combine offense and defense in one line, often in 1 spell. Spells like Eruption, Ebon Hawk, Unsteady Ground and Sandstorm are all meant to be either offensively effective against casters, or defensively effective against physical characters. Basically, Earth's thing is to punish physical characters (and even more specifically: melee). And don't forget the AoE range of Earth spells: all of the nukes have the same range as the biggest Fire spells. 145.94.74.23 17:12, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
This skill is hard to make work well. I'd say it need to be instant hit, or faster projectile, and reduced damage and reduced cast time. Weakness is a good condition, and should belong in the earth line of skills, but it should be as easy to apply as it is fire to apply burning, air blinding, and water to snare. It isn't easy right now. StatMan 14:39, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
