The problem is not the casting time, but the upkeep. Losing 1/4 of your energy for a simple res (that also can be easily stripped!) is just not worth it. --Xeeron 13:05, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

...It's not an upkeep skill. Dark Morphon(contribs) 16:53, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
It also needs a lower recharge together with the 2 seconds casting time... A. von Rin 01:20, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

The problem with this skill is that it's an enchantment. Hey look he's using Vengeance. Shatter Enchantment. Oh now he's dead. Antiarchangel 04:28, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

It could be changed to a skill like Death Pact...the person still dies.--Life Infusion «T» 16:04, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Since it is vengeance, I think it would be cool if it had an effect if it was removed prematurely, like an offensive version of Watchful Healing. That way even if this guy is temporarily raised as a vengeful spirit and gets immediately whacked, you'll still get some benefit; because it seems to me the problem is this skill has a longer recharge, is vulnerable to interrupt, and your time/energy casting the spell can be immediately wasted by a single enchant removal. - Elder Angelus 19:57, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Smiting Prayers?

Please explain... After +3 years of GW... Why doesnt Vengeance deserve to be into Smiting line or be made to Upkeep? Folks & guildies Ive partied with over the years have discussed various issues like this, and with PvE-Unyeilding Aura, having Light of Dwayna under Divine Favor and Vengeance under Smiting would complete the rez-option goodness package with at least 1 rez per attribute and non-attribute. In addition to this, a weapon-based auto-rez version under Channeling and 2 fun/unique rez's for Motivation and Command would be greatly beneficial (some players have discussed issues with current rez-drawbacks and desire more options). - Falconeye --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:68.164.135.85 (talk).

Yeah, it could in fact just be made into a (boring but more useful) normal rez, only in Smiting Prayers. Something like "Resurrect target ally with up to 60...84...90% of your current health and 5...29...35% energy. All foes near that ally take 10...58...70 holy damage." or whatever. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:86.27.136.194 (talk).

Falconeye's Proposal

I'm not sure if it would be feasible to code this. -- Gordon Ecker 07:15, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

I think that it would really be a nerf (imagine if that foe died in 1 sec of finishing casting, you just lost 10 energy and 5 seconds for nothing), and the fact that the +% dmg is very conditional (only on 1 foe) makes it pretty much worse than it is now.Crimmastermind 07:20, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Agreed. the first suggestion is much better and more thought out as well. But perhaps something more like this:
  • Enchantment spell: Bring ressurect target ally with 75% HP and 75% energy, for 10 seconds, that ally does 1...20 more damage with attacks. when this enchantment ends, adjacent foes take 10...40 damage.--72.189.85.14 02:06, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Revering functionality

They should revert the functionality to how it worked before when you could use it with divine intervention. I mean its still a big risk using it since it is an enchantment, strip and your dead. Divine intervention is pretty useless as it is now due to its long recharge. Now divine intervention isn't that "divine" its another bad spell that never ever sees a use and so is this spell, when vengeance is used players in your team gets pissed of at you for using it.--195.66.94.4 14:03, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
