Base resurrection is where in certain PvP maps or formats players are periodically resurrected at a resurrection shrine based upon a timer. While it does not require the use of a Resurrection Signet or a hard resurrection skill and players come back at full health and energy, their position of resurrection is fixed. This can be an advantage or a disadvantage depending on the situation.
- Advantageous situations:
- Dying before the resurrection timer to teleport back to base and collapse on a split team or prevent the Guild Lord from dying.
- Leaving someone to base-resurrect if they die just before time to bring a flag or the Ghostly Hero from the base.
- Disadvantageous situations:
- Getting timekilled so that a player is separated from the team.
In Priest Annihilation maps, killing the priest will disable the resurrection shrine.
