Afterword[edit]

With Critical Strikes i mostly focused on the DPS of the assassin by changing underused and underpowered skills. Dark Apostasy has become quite obselete in it's function since the arival of Assault Enchantments and Shattering Assault from NF. Simply buffing it as an enchantment removal would be no good since it would have to compete with the 2 elites i mentioned and you would eventually end up with a power creep elite or an underpowered elite, so instead of being an enchantment removal i went for a life steal function. With the fast attack speed of the dagger the health steal is only applied on critical hits and not normal attacks and for PvP still causes energy loss. With the high critical rate the assassins have combined with the ammount of life steal and with it's drawback i am pretty confident this skill won't make the assassin too strong or be too weak in both PvE and PvP (not that it matters much for PvE).

What i also focused on is an IAS for the assassin, both elite and non elite. So far the assassin has only 2 IAS skills Way of the Assassin wach takes up an elite slot and Critical Agility a PvE only skills wich leaves that the assassin has basicly no reasonable IAS for PvP unless it takes a secondary profession. WotA in itself is mostly taken for it's ability to increase critical hits rather than being an IAS so i buffed it's IAS to have it worth taking for attack speed. I turned Deadly Haste into a IAS similar in function to WotA having a set duration with a scaling attack speed bonus. I gave both skills a PvP function with a reduced attack speed.

Last functioning as IAS is Locust's Fury. LF current function is basicly useless since assassins rely on attack skills rather than normal dagger attacks, so instead of increasing the chance of a dual strike i went for a non-scaling IAS of 25% with an attack skill recharge reduction so the assassin can pull of attack skills faster that have a longer recharge.

For the No Attribute skills i focused on Shadow Stepping. I turned Recall and Shadow Meld into 2 no-nonsense shadow step skills that target a foe with no aditional effect or drawback, something within all the vast ammount of shadow stepping skills the assassin seriously lacked. For Spirit Walk i added the function to shadow step towards an ally and turning it into a fast recharging retreat skill. With Swap i took a bit of a different approach. Instead of swapping locations with a spirit i went for any foe. This function can be used for multiple means of play. Being able to shadow step with a kiting or running foe and moving a foe into a set of laid traps or simply moving an enemy healer away from it's team, it can make some interresting play both PvE and PvP alike.
