What? IT does mean something! they noticed a fan of the game has a suggestion and how to post the idea. Am i wrong saying that? YES YOUR RIGHT (OK FINE!) they probably won't do anything and YOUR RIGHT (again your RIGHT OK!) they have better things to do but i was surprised they responded. And as a fan i'm glad they responded so i wanted to post the idea. whatever they do after that i'm all for it. ya i have to admit i don't know what i was thinking when i posted that. sorry? i assumed that changing the login screen with each new campaign that it seemed easy to do back in the day. when factions came out and then nightfall then even GWEN. it looked easy to do. ya mybad to assume that. i don't code and shouldn't say what i don't' know. I'll um strike out the text later. and clean up my mess. it's just a copy and paste from guru and i'm new to this wiki markup text. i'll still stick with "money movies the world... etc". yeah i know it's a waste of money and resources but it can be done. kind of like the iphone working on t-mobie newtork. waste of my $400 + jailbreak'in but it works on t-mobile =) Chessyang 18:39, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Making a single image change to the login screen is very doable, as they have done it now several times. Giving users the option of what image to use, is something totally different as it would require an entire rework of the login screen coding. While I understand that after X years, it would be nice to have some variation in the login screen, quite frankly, it is a purely cosmetic change, and I would rather see ArenaNet focus their programmer's time to doing things that actually better gameplay. -- Wyn talk 21:07, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Well, let's be honest, Wyn. Really, the only thing they are working on is skill updates, and the last update was fantastic, but as for things that improve gameplay.... How about some new content already? And if not that, why not fix the cosmetics? A change to the login screen code to allow for a change to the background would be something everybody would enjoy. I mean, how many times has this been suggested? There's even a nice gif on this page demonstrating this... If the live team is too busy to allow for this, they could outsource it. There are plenty of people on the wiki with the ability and desire to do that that I'm sure would gladly do it for free. --Musha 01:34, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
