Feedback talk:User/Knighthonor/SCRIPTED FIGHTS are a Must have for PvE
You need to explain what you mean by this. --Kyoshi (Talk) 04:43, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- I'd prefer he didn't. elix Omni 05:29, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Considering his other suggestions I'm inclined to agree, but I tend to give too much benefit of doubt. --Kyoshi (Talk) 17:12, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- The lack of scripted events is why PvE in GW is as appealing as staring at a dog turd on the sidewalk. You aggro something, it goes towards the character with the lowest armor / health, and starts pounding. There are some small exceptions, but overall, that is hoe each and every encounter in PvE works. There are no rangers with BHA who look for monks in double aggro range and snipe them. There are no Storm Riders who just ignore all physical professions in your team and Backfire every caster in radar range. Combat is boring instead. Koda Kumi 17:20, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

- I think he just means better A.I. Or A.I. that differs from battle to battle. I prefer PvE being brainless tho so I can make fun of it :D Not to mention making an A.I. that appropriately uses several hundred skills is impossible. Greep 00:48, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
I believe he means it like scripted boss fights in other MMO games. So fight isn't slap the permasin on the boss and hope aggro doesn't break before he executes some overpowered chain lightning on your monks, which can't do crap because of some overpowered environmental effect you can't get rid of. Kinda like lots of AoE in short intervals, especially one you can dodge, mobs summoned by the boss so that some part of the team has to split to block the mobs from your casters. And aggro is more controllable rather than pure luck. Athariel 08:23, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
The problem with this is that it would make the game too mundane, this battle will ALWAYS play out this way, or you ALWAYS need these particular professions to beat him. What your wanting can be easily implemented simply by making the AI smarter, which they must do anyways in order to make the NPCs utilize the skill combinations. All NPCs don't use the same AI, they have a preset AI that works for only some of all of them. Probably there is a separate AI for each profession, and possibly also for each race. If I wanted to play a scripted battle or whatnot Id go play God of War or FF13.--Neithan Diniem 00:07, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
