Feedback talk:User/RedTeaCat/Rarely Used Elite Skills (Mesmer)

Most of those suggestions make me say "WTF?" to myself under my breath. They weren't all bad though. You're point about Power Flux stands out, since you can get the same energy loss with one Power Leak as you can with 2 PFs except the PFs can be have it's effects removed because it is a hex. Actually, I think that's the only one I really liked. Rypofalem 23:41, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

Panic's 25energy isnt exactly a bad thing, it usually used with auspicious incantation to maintain high energy, lower its energy cost will be like the conjure nightmare "nerf" where they reduced its energy cost from 25 to 15 -Talamare- feedback 23:52, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Hmm..wtf. Yep, some ideas are crazy. But there're too many useless elites. Maybe you should keep using VoR,thx. ||| Is -2E degen and cause damage while using signet worth 25 Energy? it just limited the usage, you must bring auspicious. --Tea Cat ._. 05:25, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
It may be a good idea to break these up, if not in to individual skills than by attribute. It'll be tough to get feedback otherwise. However, some of the suggestions aren't necessary, I think. Simple Thievery is a good skill in a lot of places, high PvP not being one of them. 5Energy would be a good buff to it, I won't argue that, but a function change wouldn't. It's great for stealing Resurrection Signets. Not only does it disable it, you can also use it whether or not you've used your first one. Power Flux: totally agree. It needs a function change more than buffs to its current function. I like your second suggestion the most but fear it's too mean to the target's Energy and might scare people (especially monks) away from using 1 second cast skills in a lot of areas. Panic is fine, the signet damage isn't even close to its primary cause, but it's useful in its own way. The 25 Energy is a boon for mesmer bars more than anything else, like Talamare said. Hex Eater Vortex needs a function change but the reason they nerfed it is empowered on both of your function changes. The Hex Removal was never the problem, the Enchantment Removal followed by damage was. Illusionary Weaponry is fun in its own way, and your suggestion takes that away from it. I don't think that'd be a positive change, but it is a "silly" elite. I can't think of a way to fix that, so I can't really rebuke your suggestion, just disagree with it. Too many damage "tics" in Illusion Magic is probably a bad thing. IoP, your Recurring and Fragility as a cover would be a lot of pressure that's difficult to deal with because of quick recharges and fast activation times. Degeneration is 20 damage per second, plus 10 more from Illusion of Pain, then 10 more from this and then the 19 from anything else. They're all in the same attribute, available in the same campaign and the synergy to pressure would probably be pretty strong and convince people to bring a third monk with extensive hex removal. I think anyway. Wouldn't it be just as easy to make Extend Conditions a stance? I know it doesn't have Mantra, but... I like the idea of adding that "use your Inspiration Magic" clause in for Keystone because it streamlines signet builds without giving them access to an offensive elite signet. The first and third suggestions for Mantra are nice, although limiting it to Mesmer-only skills will keep its use as low as it is now. Making Power Leech maintainable is a bad idea. The second suggestion for Signet of Midnight is interesting, but I think taking the "You are also conditioned" part out of it is more of a nerf than anything else, especially coupled with the lower Blindness duration. This huge block of text is also why I suggested you break them up. Sorry for polluting your talk page. :PUser Bathory Spirit to Flesh.jpg Bathory talk 17:13, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Stop trying to skill balance. You're terrible. Mesmer are NOT a fire-and-forget class, they require skill and timing. Most of your suggestions are completely OP, stop trying.--Short talk to me 20:46, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Civility. Try it some time. User Bathory Spirit to Flesh.jpg Bathory talk 23:58, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Mesmer are NOT a fire-and-forget class, they require skill and timing.(really?) Maybe you forgot don't play this game + 90 or 95 dmg, your choice, hmm, only Power Drain requires skill. I tried suggesting to raise those near-never been used elites any may let less people using same OP elite. Some parameters could be changed if they're op, just providing some functional reworking ideas. --Tea Cat ._. 04:55, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
Mmmm, those skills are why ANet fail at balancing tbh.--Short talk to me 14:59, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Interesting Ideas but much too overpowered... ever thought on Backfire or Empathy with Extend Conditions?? --Kali Shin Shivara 17:27, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
