I started this guild on March 15th, 2008 and began active recruitment on December 19th 2008. I wanted to create a guild where people can get help or be of help to others with missions, quests or acquiring items. A guild where if a person wants to be an active member, or a casual member they can. Its how ever much a person wants to be involved and of course the old saying applies, what a person puts into their involvement is exactly what they will get out of it. The guild hall is equipted with all the NPC's available. To view the list of guild hall NPC'S, click on this link: Guild Lords.
Recruitment
Recruitment for ‘Guardians Of The Heartland’ guild by guild leader, Lord Vengure is open to all, Christian or not, just please read over the Code of Conduct.
All recruits will start with "Member" status. New members will be accepted at all skill levels, but there will be a max number of 15 new members at the start of recruitment. Cost is $100 in Guild Wars® gold, one time fee.
- Here is what comes with the membership:
- 1. Help with leveling a character, hunting (farming), completing quests and missions and other ‘perks’.
- 2. Making new friends from all over the world.
- 3. Help setting up a link to a user page through the guilds page on Guild Wars® wiki about you and your characters. (If you want one.)
"Officer" status - once 5 officers are installed, there will be no more officers till a vacancy opens up; or the guild leader sees the need to add more.
- For those that want to advance in rank to officer within the guild, they must
- 1. Be an active member of the guild for no less than 8 months.
- 2. Must complete the initial Protector and Master Cartographer titles for one of their characters on their account. It is preferred that it be the lead character, but it is not required. Please note, it does not mean that a person has to achieve the Legendary status for both above mentioned titles. Ex.
- If you created the character in the Prophicies campaign, you will need to explore ALL of Tyria and complete all 25 missions/bonuses
- If you created the character in the Factions campaign, you will need to explore ALL of Cantha and complete all 13 missions at the Masters level
- If you created the character in the Nightfall campaign, you will need to explore ALL of Elona and complete all 20 missions at the Masters level
- 3. Their character must have at least 5 heroes.
With the title of officer, those people will be expected to be a more active part of the guild because with any higher ranking within an organization there is always more responsibility that goes with it. They will be expected to take more of a leadership role in helping the other members with missions, quests, etc.
Officers will not be allowed to let any new members join unless the guild leader gives their approval. They can however, add someone as a guild ‘guest’ at any time at their own expense.
CoC: ‘Code of Conduct’. This is very important to part of being a member of this guild.
The CoC is very simple:
- 1. Play the game for fun or challenge, but be a good sport while doing it (No Leaching, Abandoning of team-mates while in a quest or mission).
- 2. Abide by all in game rules as set by ANET® and the Guild Wars® team.
- 3. Refrain from cussing, slander and abusive remarks to others within this guild and it alliances.
- 4. And be willing to lend a hand to those who need help, even if you are not directly asked to.
