OPA began life as an alliance of like-minded people in an old browser game called Planetarion. Initially an offshoot of Crusty old Fossil Rockers (a mature gaming clan) it grew into slowly grew into it's own entity. After PA, there have been many games played by members of the OPA community, stretching from other browser-based games to Guild Wars. OPA's main gaming principle is sportsmanship. Play to have fun in a mature relaxed atmosphere.
Recruitment
As a gaming community, recruitment is fairly difficult as we wish to keep our great atmosphere. First you need to visit forums. Inside you will find the forum section title "Apply to OPA", follow the application procedure and we'll get back to you after a vote between the current members has been performed.
Code of Conduct
As a community, we are bound by our own Code of Conduct for every game we play. This CoC is adjusted to fit each game that we play, but the general rules stay the same: -
- 1. It is strictly forbidden to utilize or disseminate any information about group or members without their consent.
- 2. No cheating. Any action which defies the game designers' obvious intentions will be considered cheating.
- 3. Represent our group with a balanced dose of tact and humor, this includes: -
- No ridiculing, mocking, or "flaming". We all make mistakes, and we all know the difference between Constructive Criticism and Belittling Ridicule. Of course there will be friendly banter and barbs in jest, this is expected. But if someone calls you on it, chances are you are guilty as charged.
- No showboating or poor sportsmanship behaviour
- 4. Take plenty of fiber on a daily basis (I can't stress this enough)!
