Founding 1998
Founded by United Kingdom ShadowKnight , Alatier and Gilgamesh, the Speedkill Merchants were primarily a local network gaming group centred around Unreal and StarCraft. We competed on a friendly level with clans such as TCC, another local group as well as small online skirmish games. The spectrum of Games broadened with the years, soon including Unreal Tournament and Command and Conquer, as well as KKND 2. During this time we did not play on a competetive level, but rather sought to combine the forces of people interested in the same games and trying to form a friendly and unified community for them.
2005 - Going Global
During the end of 2004 United Kingdom ShadowKnight playtested GuildWars, creating the GuildWars chapter of the Clan 2005. With the rise of GuildWars the clan reached more and more members, beyond 60 during the GuildWars Prime. During this time the clan's activities were mostly focussed on GuildWars, as much organising had to be done and the Clan Leader did not have enough time next to both a full time study and job to set up similar chapters for other games. Nevertheless, the idea of the clan became slightly more competitive than before, incorporating casual as well as competitive gamers. During this time our first online presence was born through Chris aka "Virus", until private life caught up with him and the website was shut down, soon to be replaced by our current Webmaster Germany Syr3L 's masterful work. Following the improved group of officers in GuildWars, more time was left for the Webmaster and the Clan Leader to think about a focussed and coherent approach onto other games...
Actual situation shows ... The sails are set to GuildWars 2 and the remaining members starting to bring journey to its first end. As the way of time is we all are gone older and some cought real life but some still are there and keep the lights burning till ...
