The Chan clan [Chan] are a European PvE guild with a strong focus on helping new players to get accustomed to the game. We are a member of the Welsh Dragons Alliance.

Founding

The Chan clan [Chan] Was founded by former members of the now defunct guild The Black Sanctuary Assassins [BSA]. After the leader of [BSA] left the guild many members quit the game altogether. Those of us who did not want to abbandon the game or the friends we had made in game decided to split off and start a new guild with a different focus.

Mission

The Chan Clan [Chan] was founded with the ideals of having a strong community of mature people regardless of age, gender or nationality. It is our goal to help both new and old players to share information and time to help one another gain a better understanding of anything they wish to learn. Although our focus is set on helping new players in the guild wars world we welcome experienced players to both give advice as well as learn new things.

Resources

The Chan Clan [Chan] has a variety of web based resources at its disposal, intended to enhance the community of the guild as well as to give advice to members, Each resource is also shared with our alliance. The primary resource is the guilds private forum, which is free from add's, has the gwbbcode installed to allow members to share and compare builds with each other out of game with ease. The forum is currently undergoing updates to implement a reward system for posting which will unlock flash mini games, features and even in-game rewards. The most recent resource is "Chanwiki". Chanwiki is a wiki site designed to help mainly newer players and as such covers ground that GWW does not. Chanwiki will be used to post articles & guides written by alliance members as well as any relevant outsider guides. Chanwiki will also contain profiles & member lists on each guild in our alliance and with the use of userpages allows each member to host a profile page for each of their characters listing anything from equipment to achievements. In the future Chanwiki will contain an advanced build submission section to allow members to share builds much more effectivly. There are many more resources being developed for Alliance use.

Recruitment

Unlike many other guilds The Chan Clan [Chan] do not take part in recruitment drives in outposts. We employ a method of recruiting only those we play with or those we help in game. This method allows us to gather members that we believe meet our ideals and goals or could benefit from our advice & help. Recruitment can be done by any member, They need only ask an officer to send an invite.

We will accept anyone who applies via this method on good faith. Anyone seen to cause grief to another member or in any way harm the reputation of the guild will be asked to leave.
