Candidate statement

Well guys, here it is. In my short time here, I've only gotten to know a few of you, but however this turns out, I hope I'll be able to get to know more of you guys ^^

I know my way through wiki-code and I've done my fair share of vandalism fighting. I also have a good knowledge of the policies and guidelines here, so decisions I make will be well informed. I do patrol recent changes quite a lot and check my watchlist numerous times a day. I also have had experience with sysop tools (you know I won't mess around with them). I see this as my chance to help out–to keep this wiki nice and vandalism-free. Not so sure what to say, but like the others, I'd my contributions and participation decide your vote, rather than what I type. 3. Support I have seen that you are a sysop and even a bureaucrat on many wikia and wiki sites. I feel that if you have never abused your tools there that you won't abuse them here. I have seen the good that you have done for this wiki and I feel confident that you would do well. 3. Checked through your edits and I personally feel you need to familiarise yourself with the wiki policies more before becoming a sysop. (for example on this page alone; see not knowing that IP's can vote on admin requests) -- Salome 20:12, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

5. Neutral, but would lean towards support. Balistic is a good guy who already has admin and/or bureaucrat on multiple wikis. He has some code knowledge and can frequently be found fighting vandals, fixing broken things, tagging for deletion, and so on. The only concerns I have is that he wouldn't be my first choice for a "deal with sticky situation" admin, since I remember a few cases where things he posted unintentionally made a situation worse (not necessarily on GWW though, so meh). I also agree that knowledge of GWW-specific policy nuances and stuff is a bit spotty, but I think that's really easy to fix on-the-fly and am not much concerned about it.
