- Drat. Skuld beat me. Long story short, in PvP "R U iQ?" has become the new "GL HF" thanks to the absurd number of smurf guilds the Idiot Savants have =P MisterPepe talk 15:06, 4 April 2007 (EDT)

I removed all of the 'us' and 'our' and replaced it with 3rd person talk. I also removed the builds section which doesn't belong to a guild article imho. -- (gem / talk) 19:02, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
- The idea there was to have a small section regarding a general sort of build the guild runs. In most cases, that would be a simple "Balanced," "Split," or "Spike" - I just like being a little more creative =P If you really think there should be no discussion of build types at all, then you should probably take it out of the formatting guide too - it's currently listed in there as an allowed section MisterPepe talk 19:06, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
- NOOooooo!! You took out the "The Forsaken Shadow Knights of the Golden Phoenix of Great Valor and Honor for Ascalon Dragon Tamers Society Against the Dark Forces of Mordor" link T_T I think it looked better before, though I understand that some of that stuff probably needed to go =P I'm actually rather happy that even one joke stayed in there. MisterPepe talk 19:07, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
- Sorry, it's an official example, not something in a user name space, so I tried to make it look more official too. The build section is definitely not a necessary information and it tends to change. Besides, PvP guilds might want to hide it, not announce it publicly. -- (gem / talk) 19:17, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
- I know, I even agree with you =P Check out the formatting guide for an actual explanation of my thoughts on a build section (I disagree mainly because I come from a purely PvP perspective), the only thing I don't really like about the example page now is how empty it is =) P.S. Once again, thank you for leaving one PvP joke in there =P MisterPepe talk 19:23, 4 April 2007 (EDT)

- You should have kept the fake category tabs in, it doesn't add the page to the categories, it just makes it look like it does, frankly your choice to nowiki them out is confusing. it's harmless and added authenticity to the article. --Jamie 19:24, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
- Fixed. MisterPepe talk 19:26, 4 April 2007 (EDT)

Protect this page?
I'd like to suggest protecting this page from edits. It's been vandalized enough times already =P MisterPepe talk 17:21, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Last 15 edits are vandalism/mistakes and reverts. I'll protect it. -- (gem / talk) 21:20, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Small changes
Could an admin please remove __NOTOC__
from the template and add a html-comment that the protected template and the category simulation should not be copied. Thanks poke | talk 17:41, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Discrepancy
The website under contact information and webpage in the infobox should probably match up with each other. I'd suggest sticking with example.com (or perhaps example.net), lest someone decide to register exampleguild.net. - Tanetris 12:19, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Name
Now what if there is a guild that is actually named that? Then what will we do?--§ Eloc § 04:43, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'd say that's an issue best left alone until it arises, at which point I have no doubt something can be worked out. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 04:46, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- If it comes up, we could move it to an illegal name, such as Guild:Example. -- Gordon Ecker 03:01, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
Add Guild
Hi. I would to know how to add a new Guild (so unprotect page) ? --Vickteam 15:03, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- Go here. Look carefully at the source code, there's a comment explaining where the code begins and where it ends. Copy the lines between the comments. Create a page called "Guild:Your guild name". Paste code. Edit it. And don't forget to use the "Show preview" button before saving. Chriskang 15:37, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- A simpler method is also available: just edit the URL of this page and replace Example Guild with your guild name - since the page doesn't exist, you'll be prompted to create it (and there's a special trigger for guild pages that will prefill them with this template). Guild infobox on this page
Why don't we add all the parameters on this page except for the cape image one? That way, it shows an example of how to do all of them.--§ Eloc § 04:48, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Guild Type
May i suggest changing "PvE/PvP" in the infobox for "PvX"? I mean, we tell them to only pick one after all, and people may be getting the wrong idea from the example page.--Fighterdoken 01:29, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
