Talk:A Ghostly Request

From Guild Wars Wiki

I found this quest (after doing all Lahtenda Bog Quests) in Mehtani Keys, near the skale boss and his admirers. There the "Ghost of Sehwanu" stood and stared out onto the sea. Regarding the Mehtani Keys Quests, I did all but the Quests following "Defend Beknur Harbour". --Thea

From my memory, the only quest requirement for this one is A Sticky Operation. After that, the Ghost does indeed spawn randomly (at least that's how I spawned it). I was going for something a little more hidden than usual. _ Linsey Murdock 06:32, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Have to do What Do You Do with a Drunken Shauben? as well[edit]

She actually does not appear until after BOTH A Sticky Operation AND What Do You Do with a Drunken Shauben? And she appears right where the other wiki says she should, which is same place my other characters found her. So is not random. Ramei Arashi 05:06, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Not true. I just picked up A Ghostly Request without having done What Do You Do with a Drunken Shauben. - Tanetris 03:57, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
She would not spawn until I did both quests, then she was there first time I went looking for her.Ramei Arashi 16:21, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Same happened to me; went looking for her with only A Sticky Operation completed, she didn't show up. Went again after A drunken Shauben and there she was. The chances of me finding her in 2nd attempt out of 20 are small.

Maybe she is guaranteed to spawn if you have both done ? User MadSkillz1o1 sig2.PNG MadSkillz1o1 12:12, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

I have done A Sticky Operation, and What Do You Do with a Drunken Shauben? is active (but without progress), and she appeared on the first try I went looking for her. Not sure if just lucky, or they changed something, or the quest status does influence it. -- kazerniel (talk) 23:04, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

Worst design ever[edit]

Anet must really hate its players to make a questgiver NPC that only spawns 5% of the time. 76.253.0.17 11:29, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

If its any consolation, it's not necessary to do it. --Xu Davella 11:53, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
It's not necessary to do anything in a video game, but that kind of misses the point of playing them. With the only other option being to waste hours of your life trying to get this NPC to spawn, however, that conclusion is the one I came to, which is to skip this unfortunate part of the game and get on with the parts that were designed with the least bit of sense (keeping fingers crossed, anyway). 65.118.124.124 18:14, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
