Talk:Allegiance skill
Can one profession equip multiple profession's Luxon/Kurzick skills? Or do they only show up when you are of the respective professions? I don't have any cross-profession allegiance skills yet, so can't check. BlazeRick 13:42, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- Unlike the title-based skills of Nightfall and EotN, these are profession-specific. So yes, only those of your current professions will actually show up. -- ab.er.rant 14:09, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I have discovered a bug this morning/last night that allows you to have three of these on your skill bar, and will show multiple of them in your skills window. If you manage to get to level 20, in either Factions or Nightfall, before choosing a second profession, you can buy the skills and they will also be able to be used, tested only with Paragon main profession with Me,N(and P) for Kurzick and W,D,E,A,R, and Mo for Luxon skills, but I assume that being a paragon has nothing to be with it. Doing this, however, blocks off the majority of the Nightfall campaign, as well as blocking off the majority of the game if done with a Factions character. Also, sorry to burst any bubbles, but I have already submitted a bug report ticket for this occurrence, so it will be hard to say if this will be fixed soon or not. Liefizul 07:13, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- Looks like it was finally changed in 2017. I logged onto my primary-profession-only level20 character today and noticed I no longer had access to the Lux/Kurz skills outside my primary profession. Don't know when the fix was done but they were still usable back in June/July. 99.100.48.228 18:14, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- Nevermind, the cause was that I went back to my starting area and 'sampled' a new secondary profession. All the skills are lost and must be re-purchased when you do that. Going to add a note to the anomaly saying as much. 99.100.48.228 23:44, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- Are you saying you can continuously purchase, lose, and repurchase all allegiance skills with that character? That would be huge for maxing allegiance title tracks, as skill purchases award twice the cost as allegiance track points. This would remove the need for any form of guild/alliance switching to get double points for the opposite faction. - Infinite - talk 15:59, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
- However, the only way to do this would be to either be in the correct allegiance guild already or have someone guest you into one to dump your faction, unless minion trickery can allow you to skip to the Canthan mainland (to get to reward NPCs) via the closed gate in Linnok Courtyard or the like without completing the secondary profession quests. It would be possible I suppose to be guested every time you wanted to spend faction, but that would be a bit of a pain... Loggy (talk) 17:33, 23 November 2017 (UTC)

Changing Allegiance and these Skills[edit]
I've recently changed guilds and should be switching to Kurzick (but have not yet Befriended them). I've purchased all of the Luxon skills; will this give me all of the Kurzick versions automatically once I Befriend them? Or will I need to buy the Kurzick version of these skills? -- Sabardeyn 09:36, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- You will retain your Luxon skills and still be able to use them, since they and the Kurzick ones are not the same skills. But you will only be able to equip one of the skills at any time (You can't have both Triple Shot (Kurzick) and Triple Shot (Luxon) on your skill bar). Paddymew 10:54, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Unless I'm somehow not seeing it, these skills aren't available to my assassin right now. She's just level 3, which I'm betting has something to do with it. I didn't notice a note pertaining to this, so does anyone know when the skills become available? Briareus 09:55, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
- You have to be level 20 to be able to aquire allegiance skills ! Tiberium 11:01, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Why do we do PvP, to Give faction, to use skills, unlucked with PvP faction, in PvE?! In let's say, Jade Quarry, why arent u allowed to use Skills wich u are really fighting in JQ to get?Make these skills PvP to ! 94.191.202.178 19:47, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
For once, I'm admitting the Kurzicks are better than us Luxons...[edit]
...At least with skill icons. Why do the Kurzicks get all the awesome icons? I mean, I like the Luxon version of the icons, but they're crap when compared to the Kurzick ones. --Aldarik 19:01, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- I like all the Luxon icons better. Way more detailed. <>Sparky, the Tainted 17:55, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
- I got sick of looking at the Kurzick icons after a while, so I made a mod to change them :) --smøni 14:35, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
sucks[edit]
I think the allegiance skills should be usable in PvP cause PvP-only characters have just as much a chance of acquiring them! sucks :-( Cowabunga 17:33, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Equiping both Luxon and Kurzick skills[edit]
I have changed the note regarding being able to equip both Luxon and Kurzick skills. When trying to equip both the Kurzick skill Selfless Spirit and the Luxon skill Signet of Corruption with an otherwise empty skillbar, I get the "You may not equip more than 3 PvE Only skills. ..." message and one of the skills is removed.
