I saw this skill icon somewhere in gw.dat. Let me just a few hours to finish work and I'll upload it. Chriskang 12:04, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
This dosent say monster skill >.> *ideas* --Lou-SaydusUser Lou-Saydus Hail Storm.jpg 23:50, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Are norn monsters? no? then it's obviously not a monster skill. --User RAd1cAl EdwArd Guildwiki-icon-small.pngRAd1cAl_EdwArd 00:52, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
But it IS only usable by NPCs, which seems to me DOES make it a monster skill. Chiyu! 03:33, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
That's how we've operated, despite that comment. Besides, while we refer to them as "monster" skills, we really use NPC and monster interchangably, so it doesn't matter what they're referred to as. If we wanted to be accurate, they would be NPC skills, but it's not the decision of GWW. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 03:40, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
How about NPC Skill then? It does have its own norn-color-themed icon. Anybody who knows if you can Simple Thievery it? As it doesn't spell out "Monster Skill"... Paddymew 13:37, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Jora[edit]

Shouldn't Jora be able to use this after completing Curse of the Nornbear? Arcthemonkey 21:12, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

She should, but I can't find it anywhere in her skills log. Sucks to be Jora really, even after redeeming herself and her clan she can't go bear on all those destroyer's asses ;). I'm hoping it will change with the release. Jora FTW btw. Andrik Of Ascalon 18:12, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
She can do it, she just won't. Fighting with humans against human-enemies does not require REAL norn to tap into all of their power :) Paddymew 13:42, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

SHE CANT use the skill, she has a curse on. Ever played and paied attention to Jora's storyr in EotN, if you have you should understand....190.80.198.52 21:23, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Isn't removing the curse what the whole Nornbear storyline was about...? 68.194.123.2 06:22, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

A while back...[edit]

A while back, people were able to use monster skills due to a bug. Was this one of them? If so, I wonder if there's a screen somewhere that shows that.24.243.143.206 14:53, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Indeed, this was one of them. Apparently skills like Simple Thievery were able to steal the bear form skill. http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/7/gw007cs9.jpg 71.54.232.9 08:29, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh, by the way, that isn't me in the screenshot, it's from someone on the Guild Wars IncGamers forums. 71.54.232.9 08:30, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

wtfness[edit]

Okay, one thing bothers oni alot. this skill is supposed to be the -full- version of ursan blessing, where you only become a aspect of the bear or some crap like that, how come this is so bloody weaker than ursan?Oni User talk:Oni 11:34, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Because it's used by NPCs? 72.81.247.139 12:28, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

norns are dervs :P[edit]

i'm not use to post on wiki but i think this should be in the notes. when norns use this skill they get the milandru avatar thingy over there head. i think people know that, but why not have it in the notes ;)--Orgeron 10:14, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

It's because they're both forms. They just took the Melandru image and used it for this. 72.81.247.139 12:21, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Just noticed that today. Melandru, is the goddess of earth and nature, so it kinda ties in I suppose. Nature. Bears. [shrugs] 000.00.00.00 08:25, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Related skills[edit]

How is Ursan Blessing a related skill? The only thing they have in common is the health bonus. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 22:51, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I agree. I think we should remove this from related skills. SaberhagenFile:User Saberhagen Wiki Sig.JPG(My Talk) 12:05, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
Removed it, as it is not related at all apart from health gain. May as well have Endure Pain up there too. |--SaberhagenFile:User Saberhagen Wiki Sig.JPG(My Talk) 09:59, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
Ursan Blessing: "Elite Form. You lose all effects and take on the aspect of the bear (60 seconds). All your attributes are set to 0 and bear attacks replace your skills, and you have 100 armor and 750...790...800 Health."
Bear Form: "Form. (60 seconds.) Assume the form of a bear. While in this form, you have +250 Health and deal 25% more damage with attacks."
Their related in the way that you "become the bear" in both these skills C4K3 User C4K3 Signature.jpg Talk 23:45, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

keg bombing[edit]

i just started running kegs for the first time today... and i had shadowform up and talked to jarnskeggi, and tried to drop a few kegs, but they didn't take anything out of his health... how come? 82.8.227.172 20:10, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

It would have to do with only harming "adjacent foes"... next is you have to be sure after you talk to him to switch your target back to Mr Blackpowder... but if you agroed him, AND your spamming kegs from Blackpowder hmmmm I donno... check to see if its not a weired Axis bug, be on level ground with him MrPaladin talk 20:16, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Kegs don't work on shrine-Norn in general. Paddymew 14:07, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Interrupt ?[edit]

are these Interruptable? Zachariah Zuan 19:11, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, we do that all the time. Click the shrine guy's button and immediatly order a hero to use cry or dshot or whatever. (Then realize the hero was busy using a prep and get a bear anyway. :P) --Star Weaver 21:07, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
lol "...and get a bear anyway" doesn't actually sound that bad. Paddymew 09:02, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
