So how does this work, exactly?[edit]

It looks from the description as if each dish is successful if at least one player gives each ingredient. (That is any combination from one player giving one each of all ingredients for the dish all the way to five different players giving one ingredient each.)

Is this right? Cynique 10:15, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

With, of course, the added bonus that if a player wants more Lunar Tokens, he can give additional ingredients beyond the bare minimum for dish success... Cynique 10:17, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Yes, as long as the chef receives at least one of each ingredient the dish is succesfull --Manassas User Manassas Mannysig.png 13:05, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

2012 changes[edit]

Did anyone else have the chefs not ask them for all the ingredients in the finale this year? Legionaireb 09:00, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

They'll accept the first ingredient before they ask for it. If someone gives it to them, they wont ask for it, skipping to the second. 24.197.253.243 09:02, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
Also they did not take all the ingredients if stacked, just one. Robdalf 01:44, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

On the Boardwalk[edit]

Will you still get the rewards if you're on the Boardwalk at the time? Or do you have to move back into Shing Jea proper? 67.246.60.56 15:48, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

My hazy memory is not to be trusted, but as far as I recall you can afk on the boardwalk and still get the crates/stones. (probably a good idea to be afking on boardwalk in a hosted district :P ) -Chieftain Alex 21:21, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
Based on Talk:Canthan New Year 2010#Finale question and my own memory, the answer is yes. --Silver Edge 23:01, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

Timer duration[edit]

I noticed that my dist started off with only 8 min on the clock, and the celestial seemed to show up with 2-something min still left, possibly because the sponsors had already finished handing everything in. Also, if there's enough districts, the last one is delayed as with other event finales. It happened when there were 17 Am dists, but not when there were 14, 15, or (I think) 16. 67.246.60.56 14:20, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

Yes, it seems to be eight minutes. I've edited the article. --Silver Edge 23:21, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

Boardwalk dialogue anomaly[edit]

First of all, Boardwalk games dialogue "mutes" itself when finale starts, i.e. it only appears on the chatbox above the NPC's head during finales. Sometimes this might not happen which leads to the anomaly. Secondly, I sat through multiple finales, yes, and you're right in that it is the cause why I saw multiple dialogues at one. However, I did not leave the boardwalk (nor the game) at any point, so there's still a question about why the dialogues started repeating when they did. Actually, I'll edit the note a bit, but it should still stay as an anomaly. Jeree95 (talk) 14:40, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
