Yay![edit]
Yay! Another Community Organised event! This is great, I havent been to one as big as this ever. And its organised by you! I hope this gets as big as the Oktoberfest (or bigger), for our sakes (probably not yours, as this means more doantions for you to get!). Well, I wish LaZY good luck with this, and I hope all of the community joins in and has a great time!
--Burning Freebies 13:45, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Now is the perfect time to get some more donations. The 3rd anniversary has victory token traders, whic will give you stuff like Cakes, Creme Brulees and Firewater. --Burning Freebies 12:03, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
I read the introduction. If only GW let us have Tequila..... --Burning Freebies 20:43, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
International district?[edit]
It's not very international if you're requiring some questions in the games to be answered in perfect English; many international players may very well understand the question, yet will be unable to recieve prizes if they are unable to produce perfect English sentences (let alone understand what "Jeopardy" is). Don't get me wrong, I think the event is a great idea, it just seems to exclude some members of the international community that happened to be born in a non-English-speaking country. Kokuou 23:06, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- Its held in International Districts like most events like this cause they are always empty (except when guests start arriving. Im not sure people from France will come on the english wiki and understand it all, unless they can speak and write fluent english. --Burning Freebies 08:34, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- We'll try our best to be inclusive of everyone around the world. We do have many members from various parts of the world however it is very difficult to host and stage something that absolutely everyone can participate in due to the language barriers. Hey, maybe you can submit a request to the United Nations with a proposal for all of us to adopt one single language. I really do believe change should start with them! :) Again - we'll do our best. Araliuns sun 15:20, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Believe me, as a linguist myself the absolutely last thing I want to see is all the world's languages gone in favour of a single tongue. (Not to mention that it would put almost everyone besides grammarians and historical linguists out of a job.) The rules just seemed somewhat strict, such as requiring "What is..." instead of "Who is...", when a non-English speaker may have very well known the answer but didn't know proper "Jeopardy form." Meh, I suppose the event's over now, so it doesn't really matter, but you may want to keep this in mind for future events for our international friends! :D Kokuou 01:07, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
The big day![edit]
Its the big day. Good luck again Lazy nation. By the way, you had better start changing the page for when the event does finish, so that people dont get confused from then on. Hope I can make it today. --Burning Freebies 08:34, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- GULP! We are prepared for a total of 7 districts. If it goes beyond that we'll have to scramble to figure something out. Otherwise - we are READY! :) Looking forward to it (crosses fingers). Cheers, Araliuns sun 15:22, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
2 things[edit]
1) why isn't your cinco de mayo party on May 5th?
2) cinco de mayo wasn't a mexican victory over the french, it was a mexican victory over the spanish.--Yankeefan984 19:26, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
To question one, probably because not many people can play on a weekday. To question two, it was a Mexican victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla. Calor 19:39, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Calor is right about both points. We had picked Saturday for the vent due to the actually Holiday being on a workday for most people. This way more people would be able to take part in this event. I hope you enjoy it. We put a lot of work into this. [~ Reaper ~] 20:48, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Does it matter about the History? As long as the event is awesome, which it was, thats what matters.--Burning Freebies 12:46, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
heheh great event[edit]
i stayed after the event ended and kept the trivia answer giveaways going for 3 hours, it got packed and everyone had a ball, alot of people donated as well, very nice of them. and to top it all off we had a naked scavenger hunt in gothmar wardowns for a grandprize, whoever gets the most red iris flowers with no armor, consumables,or skills won. It was an absolute blast, and for anyone who was there, i was angel lizard :P.74.186.169.130 02:10, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- I am glad you liked it!! We put a lot of work into this and its nice to see people say they liked it. Reaper 06:50, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Well personally, I loved the event in Districts 5 and 1. I started off in district 5, lead by Holy Light Angel, Mister Fuzz, Princess Flick, Extosion Hydro, Cheat for Hammer and a few others. Got loads of ale, but i didnt drink it for fear of not being able to read questions. I got a few questions right, so a few prizes are now mine. The party then died down slightly in dis 5, so i moved to dis 1 for massive conga lines, more ale and a quiz or two. I think Lazt just broke the record for the most amount of districts filled, with a massive 7 districts fill of party goers. Well done Lazy, you made my first big community run event really awesome. Thank you very much. --Burning Freebies 12:40, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- I spent time moving between all of the districts. There were loads of various guilds represented in attendance. District 1 did receive the most action, closely followed by district 2. The other districts were large but players moved between the districts and I believe consolidated to the lower numbered districts. With 15 minutes left in the event, we consolidated the higher level districts and made a final large push to disperse as much of the items as we had still remaining. There is something to be said for those who wait until the very end; for if it's a LaZy event you are sure to get more at the end. Araliuns sun 13:31, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- I took part in the event yesterday and had a fantastic time, thanks so much for organising this for everyone. I also skipped along to the after party for a bit of "winding down fun" with the LaZy crowd, which was equally as fun, thanks guys!:D It was quite a good system really: a) obtain free alcohol at the event, b) use it all at the after party. I have to say though...I wasn't nearly quick enough with all the questions at the event...my god people type fast! Well done and thanks again everyone, I can't wait for the next one :D --Bunny - Angel talk 18:40, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Re: "Quiz Questions!"[edit]
- Two things:
- 1.) The note is repeated twice in part B.
- 2.) The second part of the second note in part B, regarding "proper English", is in the eye of the beholder. "The endgame Boss of Nightfall" is WHAT Abaddon is. Think it through logically. GFJ [LaZy]. --Curin Derwin 00:56, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
