Talk:Defend Denravi (Hard mode)

Who likes having to kill probably 30 titans at level 36+ in 60 seconds? I know I don't. And can't. Farthest I got.. or "survived" was when the boss showed up, but there were easily 15+ titans in the area, and 6-7 of them being wild growths. Too much, too fast. I could do Defend Drok's Forge at my own pace, this is just brutality. 174.108.82.105 17:54, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

Unless it got fixed, you don't need to talk to Evennia, allowing you to resurrect if you wipe and pull the enemies at your own pace (heck, you don't even have to resurrect to pull them :p). -- Konig/talk 17:57, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
It wasn't fixed, and Panic and Soul Twist are very valuable here. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 18:01, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
And the Shining Blade Memser NPC (those NPCs hold themselves up well) brings Panic. I just did it with no issue - didn't grab Evennia but only wiped with just the boss. If I had that level 30 monk, I'd have survived I'm sure.
And either it was just me or that boss spawned two, rather than one, Wild Growth. o.O -- Konig/talk 23:33, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
Welp, I feel like the fool. It really was much, much, much easier to just let the waves spawn, and pull the boss group and knock him down like a fool. No monks in his mob, so no pressure about how much damage output you have. Those shining blade guys took a major beatdown too, even saw a hard rez pop up. 174.108.82.105 02:58, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
Don't talk to Evennia and wait for Titans balls. After that, you can pull and its very easy. Joeyw 13:57, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

55 monk[edit]

bring a 55/spoil victor, or 3 of them.

Just had fun farming this with 2 friends all with 55 hp.

The only thing that can hit you is the rotting titan, and you can just switch to ur normal armor set for that. 71.239.152.236 00:25, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Smash of the Titans would put a damper on that... wouldn't it? Konig/talk 01:25, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Quest Reward Bug?![edit]

The thing is I did the pull trick then after I killed the boss I talk to Evenia. I pressed L and saw that I 'completed' the quest so I left the area without even following Evenia. I did the quest in HM, even fought lvl 30 monsters, but I only receive 20k xp with no platinums and a zcoin.. I've been scammed.. by glint.. --0gion 22:20, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

No offense, thats pretty silly of you. you had the Defend Denravi normal mode version. that quest has 20k xp reward with no coins etc. the HM quest is available after completion of the NM quest chain. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 23:43, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
oh!!! hey non-taken, why? because what you just told me, I don't see it anywhere on the quest info on any of the quest chain. thnx for clearing that up. I think someone might want to add that piece of information on the HM version as a requirement or must do first before they can get the HM version quest. So there wont be others like me, because I thought it work just like HM missions. --0gion 00:08, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
Every hard mode quest lists the nm version as a prerequisite...unless it's part of a quest chain, in which case the prior HM quest must be completed first...and that inevitably leads back to a nm quest.
I fault ANet for using the word hard mode in the quest title, which implies (if one didn't know better) that the only requirement was completing the same quest in hard mode. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 00:51, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
