what if i have a pet from pre what do i do? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:124.181.113.216 (talk).
- Depends what you want to do?
- There's a pet tamer just outside Ascalon who will take your current pet off you so that you can go charm a stalker instead.
- On the other hand if you're keen to retain your pre-searnig pet, note that the only new skill from this quest is Hunter's Shot, all the other skills are rewarded in pre-searing ranger quests, which you will probably have already. Hunter's Shot will become available for purchase at the trainer in Yak's Bend

Reward skills[edit]
It's useless that he offers charm animal as a reward, since to complete the quest you either need to already have it from pre or buy it from Ascalon. =\ Silavor 18:59, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
I agree. --Zooey 20:09, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- with nearly 4 years i've only just noticed this. but i think you can get someone to give him the pet for you so you recieve the the reward.
Heroes?[edit]
Does he accept heroes pets instead of your pet? By now this should be possible, code-wise. I admit I'm too afraid of losing Ravage to try it, though.-- Cyberman 18:41, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- Interesting point, then if the hero gives the pet we could actually be a point in giving the charm skill as a reward -Smithy-Star 00:00, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Just checked using Acolyte Jin...Hero pets don't seem to count. --70.190.180.174 23:40, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Possible Bug?[edit]
I have heard problems with animals from the Zaishen Managerie in general but it appear to me i can't give Nente a melandru's stalker obtained either from the grounds or from Wyn? Anyone else experiencing this problem. --Smithy-Star 00:04, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Secondary as Ranger or primary?[edit]
Does it HAVE to be a primary class Ranger or can it be your secondary? The page is not very clear, and I have nobody in Ascalon to check. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.179.188.62 (talk).
- Either primary or secondary. In general, if the requirement does not explicitly state primary or secondary, it can be either. --DryHumour 19:34, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
