Talk:Gladiator's Defense
I can't believe there's no other boss with this. The facet of Strength is so hard to get to.Fire Tock 14:54, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Not really, and by the way, this skill does 1337 damage at rank 666. xD →[ »Halogod (talk)« ]← 00:21, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Although, Gladiator's Defense has the same progression as Sliver Armor regarding duration and damage it should be stated that it has no casting time, deals armor-ignoring damage, grants a higher chance to block and can be instantly recharged via the one trick or the other. - Sliver amour can be renewed by Glyph of Renewal. →[ »Halogod (talk)« ]← 23:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- WHich punches out Elemental Attunemt. Then, you'll need Balthazar's Spirit which gets worse with each use of Sliver Armor (because it kills one at a time and not all in a short window). Noctarch 11:00, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- thinking a little naeive, try using other forms of energy management, for example, Channeling (inspiration) E/Me, as the only situations slivor form should even be considered is close range combat is large mobs, potentially alot of energy return. Glads defence can be extanded useing Dwarven stability and recharged, potentially, using Asuran skill Air of Superiority,

- There may be a way to maintain it using "On Your Knees!" and another skill that generates adrenaline, like "To the Limit!"
Flashing Blade[edit]
lol, flashing blades is so superior now Crimmastermind 23:31, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
- well flashing blades req u to be attacking, so when ur using a heal ur defences r down and glads has a higher dmg then flashing Whiplash513 19:36, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- This skill is more defensive. You can block attacks on the way to the fight, not just during. Makes it better if your target is further back. FleshAndFaith 08:45, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Dmg?[edit]
Does this do Physical damage? if so you could do MoP Gladiator for uber damage... 70.44.75.182 16:26, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Scatter?[edit]
Does this cause enemies to scatter?
- Yes it does -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5e90doicvE edit: 86.91.141.232 14:30, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
"In this way"...[edit]
In the skill description, it says if attacks are blocked "in this way" the damage is dealt. Lets say i have Sliver Armor up along with this skill. If Sliver Armor blocked the attack instead of Gladiators Defense, would I still get the damage from Gladiator's Defense AND Sliver Armor or JUST Sliver Armor? Basically, is it all blocks or blocks that originate from this skill only?70.88.135.62 17:50, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- 1 at a time-- not both. Each block is independent. -Lena talk 10:29, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Both would deal damage, Sliver's damage triggers on an attack or spell, not blocking. Glads, obviously when you block, will trigger with it. 70.40.161.233 13:26, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- On a side-note to that, I've farmed a fair deal of Stone Elemetals with this, and I can pull of a Riposte and Glad Defense at the same time. Might have something to do with in which order you apply them (glad -> riposte seems most likely). --Mlw640 12:21, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
