Affliation instead?[edit]

Aren't these guys of type Blood Drinker actually? At leas they share their model. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 13:00, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

To bring this back: There may be no "Incubus" affiliation or creature type, merely a naming patter (same with Vaettir). So it could be that these are the same as the Blood Drinkers. -- Konig/talk 02:16, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
Nope, it's a creature type. Incubus grow and stay alive by replacing their rotting flesh and broken bones with new flesh and bones from prey. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! (τѧιк) ←♥– 05:25, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
I do believe you mean the Fleshreaver... And even if you didn't, this is in terms of mechanics, and that would be lore. -- Konig/talk 05:37, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

Trivia?[edit]

Should we include a section somewhere which mentions what Incubi actually are? I mean, since A-Net found it prudent to name a whole species after male sex-vampires/sex-demons (whichever etymology you prefer to run with), so I see no reason why that should stop a mention of this little fact. Although, I agree with the above comment to an extent: these should, technically, be grouped into the vampire type (not drinker) by name, though, in a way, nothing about them is truly vampiric in nature... This just proves that A-Net should really NOT mess with latin words... (Incubus is latin for "I lie on top," so they probably thought they were being creative by having them drop from the ceiling) Anyway, back to the topic at hand, include trivia? Don't? I'm not toally savvy with wiki rules of what can and can't/should and shouldn't be put up, so yeah... any help would be great xD --User Timeoffire45 sig.jpg Timeoffire45 16:13, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

I was going to a while back, but decided not to as I wouldn't know how to word it without having the article R rated. :P Also, the only way an incubus (and succubus for that matter) are vampires would be that they drain psychic/mental energy. I.e., they are "male sex-psychic-drainers", that is in demonology. -- Azazel the Assassin/talk 16:36, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, hence why I called them "Sex-Vampires/Sex-Demons" :-) Although, one could argue that they (they being the Incubus and Succubus of mythology, not Guild Wars) were vampiric in nature because they sap the life-force of other creatures, just in a different way and a different form (blood vampires drink blood (a life-force), and incubus... er... have sex and literally steal the life force whilst doing it... no pun intended, there).... I dunno...and I think I just repeated everything you said :D my mistake. Anyway, yeah, I also wouldn't know how to phrase it...erm...delicately. I mean, there is no polite way to say "In mythology, Incubi (and Succubi in the female form) were demon-like creatures--considered vampires in their own right--who raped men and women in their sleep." As an amusing note, perhaps, someone could add that the Incubi will never have children since they're all male xD --User Timeoffire45 sig.jpg Timeoffire45 17:21, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Rape? I thought they just seduce the victims and then suck the life out of them or kill them. :S Sorry for off-topic, just wondering. 'Overlord Frosty' 09:51, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
Technically speaking it doesn't matter how it's done so long as there's sex. Subtle ones would seduce, just as some vampires tended to lure their victims but there were still those who just attacked at random. -- Konig/talk 19:12, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

Locations[edit]

Edielh Shockhunter and her linked mob are located in Jaga Moraine after completion of Prenuptial Disagreement and belong to this creature type. Someone please add. -Mendicant Ai, 26 May 2011

We don't list bosses on these pages. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 00:22, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
I realize that, but you do list regions in which the mobs appear. Jaga Moraine is in the Far Shiverpeaks. -Mendicant Ai, 26 May 2011
