More info needed[edit]

I think you only need one Spectral Essence to infuse all of your armor, but what if you change one piece, is it automatically infused? I doubt it, but don't know for sure.174.16.116.112 07:27, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

When you infuse your armor, you talk the npc, all your currently equipped armor receives the infused effect. If you wish to infuse any other pieces of armor, you must re-do whichever method of infusing you are doing. You can only infuse one "set" per time. ~RyuuUser Ryuu Desu Sig.png[ Talk | Meow :3 ] 07:28, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
It may also be important to note that infused armor has the description "Infused" when you hover the mouse. Also, some information is found under Spectral Agony that probably should be in this article.174.16.116.112 07:32, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
I will attempt to add that first one, however there is a direct link to the Spectral Agony page, and -some- general information is already provided, and that is enough. ~RyuuUser Ryuu Desu Sig.png[ Talk | Meow :3 ] 07:34, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

The chart was partially incorrect; claiming that, with 0 pieces of infused armour equipped, the victim suffers a total of 600 damage. At a 10 pip degeneration cap, that's 20 damage per second and 101 damage per second with the inclusion of the direct damage, which comes to 505 damage total over the 5 second duration. The other digits are fine, though.

Acension?[edit]

I remember once apon a time when ascension was not required for infusion and then they changed it to a requirement because people would (and still do) skip the desert. I did aswell on a nooby necro (havnt done anything in nf and factions) and without thinking did the infusion run while doing the mission. later I thought...wait how could i get infusion? so i ran it again after getting Elite Necrotic and again I got infused. Did they change it or was it something else i was thinking about that they added acension as a requirement? Justice 14:12, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

I got my Elite Druid Infused without being assended Jan 2010Evil Eyeball 11:14, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Correct?[edit]

Am i correct that there is nothing in all of Factions/Nightfall/EOTN that infused armor will benefit you for

Lazarus the Dire in EoTN does not have Agonizing Touch listed as a skill so your assumption is 99% probably correct. True enough that it is kinda silly to have no purpose for infusion after the prophecies story line, "lore wise". Justice 01:31, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

wait[edit]

do all the armor pieces have to be infused? or will having one work --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.171.216.123 (talk).

War in Kryta[edit]

From what I gathered from the update notes, Henchmen are now infused there, is this he case always, or just if you've finished Prophecies/EotN? I was intending on updating the article, but I wondered if it required certain triggers for them to be infused, or if they were always that way. Has anyone been able to test this out? (I would, but I've filled all my character slots, and well, I'm not sure how it could be tested really... - Jon Will 16:36, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

There are no new henchmen, and you couldn't test it anyway, since if you don't meet the criteria, there asre no mursaat to fight anyway. Backsword 22:42, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Henchmen were originally not infused for the first (possibly second as well) mission after Droknar's Forge. It's possible the recent update caused them to be infused always thus making them slightly better for those two missions. 122.105.107.211 07:41, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

New Infusion ?[edit]

According to the new French Game Update, somebody sells infusion ?

"Malgré la difficulté de se procurer des armures infusées, de nombreux mercenaires en font l’acquisition pour satisfaire leur clientèle." --Joeyw 15:25, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

No, it just says that henchmen in War in Kryta now have infused armour. --Manassas User Manassas Mannysig.png 07:32, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Henchmen[edit]

Are henchmen infused for the Ice Caves of Sorrow mission? According to the article they are. If they are infused, then I am confused. --Manassas User Manassas Mannysig.png 14:06, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

Corrected; as you thought, they are not infused during Ice Caves (thanks for noticing the glaring omission).  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:47, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

Probable Bug[edit]

I have done the Riverside Assassination quest several times now, always using characters with infused armor. In several cases, the Spectral Agony has put maximum degeneration (-10 health degen) on the characters despite having infused armor, always leading to wipes and maximum death penalty. Just a note, sometimes this happens and sometimes it does not so anyone having the same problem be warned that it does occur. Mercenaries[edit]

Since mercenaries have been added to the game, do their armors come pre-infused in the same way that Hero armors do? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 99.95.84.4 (talk).

Since mercenary heroes act exactly like normal heroes, I would assume so, haven't tried it though.Crimmastermind 19:59, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Infused or not?[edit]

I thought I had my armor infused, but when I hover the cursor over the pieces, none of them say "Infused". Could this be just because I have insignias and runes on them? Or am I just missing the infusion altogether?~Lana Darkess [NH] 01:00, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

Armor remains infused after changing runes and insignias. Newly infused armor keeps existing mods. So probably you were not wearing the armor when you brought the Eidolon's essence to the Seer. 75.37.21.66 01:04, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
I was wearing the only set of armor I have for that character when my armor was "infused", and I haven't changed anything about the runes or insignias since then. The only thing I have changed is the dye, which I'm assuming doesn't affect it.~Lana Darkess [NH] 02:51, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
If none of them say infused, then somehow you didn't trigger the relevant events. Nothing affects infusion afterwards: you can safely dye, rune, salvage, etc without any impact (unless you use expert sal instead of perfect... and you destroy the armor, but that's a different worry).
I can think of 2-3 ways in which you might have thought that you were getting the armor infused but didn't...but none of that is helpful (except to satisfy curiosity). You need to go back. Now that you are familiar with the route, you might want to run there (instead of fight): bring 4-5 heroes that have speed boosts: Fall Back, Incoming, Charge, Make Haste. Give some hex removal to a few. Emphasize shouts and/or quick spells (i.e. bring mesmers). Set all the heroes on passive. It takes me 20 minutes to walk to the Seer, kill the Eidolon, and infuse using an effective team. In contrast, it took me only 7 minutes using the hero-runners, even though I kept looking at a map.
Once you get there, after you bring the essence to the seer, double check that the armor is infused before zoning. Talk to the seer one extra time just in case.
Good luck. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:53, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
