Talk:Jade Wind

This was incredibly OP. Why is it that things like the Searing, the Jade Wind, the Cataclysm and the Desolation could happen? Abaddon was literally destroying the world during these when he was supposed to be in prison (and in the case of the first three, it took so little effort - the Searing involved a magic Cauldron, the second was the dying breath of one angry man, and the third was another single man reading some words from a scroll!). I demand an explanation! xD 90.206.126.96 21:07, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
- The Desolation/Crystal Desert wasn't caused by Abaddon, but by his defeat - he wasn't imprisoned at the time. The Cauldron and the scroll contained magic from before the bloodstone's creation, meaning that very powerful events could happen before the bloodstone, and those are two of them. The Jade Wind was caused not by Shiro's wail, but by the magic he stole from the emperor - magic which was granted to him by Dwayna to distribute throughout Cantha. Essentially, these situations were caused by instances which would not normally be possible in modern Tyria due to the bloodstones. -- Konig/talk 22:56, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
- Wow, I didn't know that about Shiro's Wail - thanks! 90.198.74.35 16:18, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- Might be good to include that in the article(s). I've often wondered that about the Jade Wind, but right now all it says is "empowered by Abaddon." --RoyHarmon 12:12, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
