Does this work with Vampirism and Bloodsong? The concise description would imply that it doesn't, but the full description implies that it does. --Gah User Gah My Name Cant Fi Echomending.jpg Eat my uber regen. 20:50, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

It causes extra damage packets when a spirit's attacks hit the target. The non-concise description is much more correct. I think I used it with bloodsong but it's been a long time. Bloodsong causes, or at least did when I had it on my bar, packets of zero damage plus the lifesteal at the same time anyway. It's pretty much like Barbs for spirit attacks. --Star Weaver 21:00, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Does this also apply to Destruction? Merri Weathers 23:31, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
I don't think it applies to destruction, or anguish, only because they don't "attack". The spirits have to use an attacking animation for this to work, like Agony, Bloodsong, Vampirisim, Pain, Shadowsong, Wanderlust, Dissenchantment, Dissonance, Fury(spirit created from Gaze of Fury). And any other i missed. Ones like those listed, the attacking ones. 24.233.254.51 04:44, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Just test it with Bloodsong and Vampirism - it does trigered with both spirits. May be place notice into article? Because descriptions are not clear. --87.252.227.81 11:40, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
Painful Bond triggers through Mist Form. The actual spirit attacks aren't hitting, but the damage from Painful Bond shows up. Noticed on Eidolon. Edit: also triggers through Whirling Defense. 83.146.237.252 12:48, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Inaccurate Concise Description[edit]

It's pretty lame tbh. --Ben tbh 06:00, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

If it is incorrect feel free to fix it. Anybody can contribute.Talk page Drogo Boffin 06:02, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
It's incorrect functionally, but the actual text is the same as in-game. --Gah_ 23:57, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Isn't this something like Asuran Scan? Both are hexes that cause extra damage from a certain source. --Aldarik 14:15, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Regarding the bug[edit]

To my surprise, today I noticed Olias actually using this skill on his own semi-regularly. I hadn't used the skill on my heroes in a long time, but I remembered this bug.

Usage was very erratic, though... sometimes he would go without using it for many a mob, then suddenly he would use it at every mob for a period of time.

Then I started noticing what was different about the mobs he did use it on: they had melee fighters (closing in on him). Apparently, a hero will consider using this skill on their own on enemies in... err, about "nearby" range. I'll have to do some more testing to confirm, and to determine what the range is exactly.    User Riven sigicon.png    18:26, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Mmhm, forgot to update... but yeah, heroes have no problem casting this skill on enemies roughly "within the area" or so. Changing to anomaly.   User Riven sigicon.png    16:02, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Spirits[edit]

I got a "cannot be used on a spirit" failed note when i tried to use it on some spirit of life from an afflicted ritualist. Anyone else seen this, and is it a bug? 86.80.183.215 19:56, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

It's not a bug. Spirits can't get affected by hexes. –User Balistic Pve B d-dark.jpgalistic 19:58, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

skill icon canthan armor[edit]

Congratulations? I'm not sure how that is relevant to anything. I really wish people would stop posting that obnoxious bit of trivia on every single skill. 66.66.172.108 03:49, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Congratulations again. You appear to be correct, so the page has been edited to reflect this.

Note on Damage[edit]

The damage from this spell occurs before the damage or any effect of the spirit's attack. At least, that's my observation. Anybody else notice this? I didn't want to mark it on the page without confirmation. ~ A R A ~ 03:34, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

I think it is a hex damage that is applied because it clearly goes through mist form (when the normal spirit attack didn't), but I am not exactly sure about the order. K61824 22:38, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

AI behavior[edit]

Bullshit 1: Need micromanagement. False.

Bullshit 2: Range. Of course, target needs to be in range of as much spirits as possible.

Result: Removing crap. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji talk 02:54, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
