Talk:Reaper's Hood
This halloween sucked...kinda sad..--174.101.12.101 08:14, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Agree. --X10Dead 10:35, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
dont argue - these are waaay btter than the cat ears and goggles... i was really dissapointed last year Getefix 12:01, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
No they're not. The cat ears are only festival hats I keep on a character all the time. Ramei Arashi 14:28, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed. The cat ears I have on half of my characters, they look good on just about anyone. Charr heads, pirate hats and these ugly things I won't be using ever again. --Saera
- And I wish I was there last year to snag a pair of goggles, they would look awesome permanently shown on a couple of my characters!
--70.171.187.247 15:04, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'll bet the Tea Party crowd will love these when Primary season rolls around! -- Cybertronian 141.225.193.166 02:26, 1 November 2011 (UTC).
- I still wear the goggles on my main ranger. I actually bought a makeover to change his hairstyle to the one with the bandana (since that's one of VERY few hairstyles that doesn't clip horribly with the spectercles). I won't be wearing these new ones, but I still think they'll look great combined with some armors! More options is always better--the less we see of black obsidian with black bandanas/headbands and chaos gloves, the better. 128.113.145.166 15:36, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Reused hat?[edit]
Is it me or is this just the hood from the male Dervish Ancient armor without the blue/dyable stripe around the bottom? Not a bad choice if it is considering all the people saying they wish they could use it on female derv's too but still seems odd to me. 109.151.89.145 09:49, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- The female one is not even similar. The male one has openings of the eyes. This one really doesn't. MithTalk 11:58, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- They're similar but the Dervish hood is more like a bird's head while the Reaper's Hood is a lot more rounded. The clearest part that it's not a reskin is if you look at the bottom bits. 128.113.145.166 12:00, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

TES:IV[edit]
Gray cowl from the theives guild questline, anybody? 174.255.50.214 10:22, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- I think it's a boogeyman mask, like in the Nightmare before christmas (Oogy Boogy) 62.177.153.242 11:39, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- It's a Reaper's hood. Like the angel of death. Reminds me more of an executioner's hood, though. Although occasionally you'll see those two "professions" symbolizing the exact same thing, in stories. :) ...Also it's shiny~! Didn't expect that but it looks better than the original picture made it out to be. 128.113.145.166 11:57, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Don't like it[edit]
Not too keen on this hat, I actually prefer last years to this.. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.28.229.10 (talk).
- I do however like it, I use it on my warrior which now looks like an executioner. --The Holy Dragons 16:45, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
- And it goes awesomely on my derv, and when dyed in the same way as he dyes his armour (plain yellow), it matches properly. Cynique 09:52, 3 November 2011 (UTC)
Anet is getting worse each year.[edit]
^. 62.45.144.109 14:22, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- i agree. i wish there was an option in Halloween to get the ones you missed in previews years, i hate that i missed the Wicked Hat. to get that would have make up for this year's crappy ones. 66.50.156.249 14:32, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Lupine_Mask Lupine Mask says hi. Just because the hats aren't Halloween themed anymore, doesn't mean they're getting worse. True they may be lacking in shining creativity (but is a pumpkin truly that creative?) but at least you can wear them year-round. If not, well, you can get 100 ToTs just for playing Thorn's game this year, so that may satisfy your thirst for shinies. 128.113.145.166 15:39, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
wow i really likes this one. and you can paint it :D 90.184.13.6 15:46, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- I wouldn't say they are getting worse. You don't like the hats. That doesn't have any hold on other new content that may have been added. Plus last years hats where the best yet. In my opinion. I don't personally like these new hats and I will never use them. But that isn't to say no one likes them. Because I'm sure that isn't the case.--Yozuk 22:00, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- They're not that bad. I just wish the dye effected the -main- piece of the Tricorne. Some say brown is a neutral color but frankly, it still doesn't fit with some of my stuff.-- anguard 16:47, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Female versions[edit]
are actually really disappointing. I just dont understand, why they put these skins on the female versions this high. You can't combine it with any armor, as you can always see most of the neck and the mask flys around like a lamp on a stick. Just... why? The male versions look so much better, just because of the positioning... and thats the same problem with almost every mask. ZliDe 17:52, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Combined hood with Balthazar's regalia. Works really well. Kyubiko 18:16, 3 November 2011 (UTC)
- Just face it, they're ugly. --Saera
- This isn't the first time they've made the same hat look different across genders, to say nothing of costumes and armours themselves. I really wish they'd stop doing it, but I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority. --Wormwood 21:50, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Don't blame the mask.... blame the female character's freakishly long giraffe necks.71.239.152.236 23:12, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah. The models were made with too long necks. And so unless you give something that goes to the shoulders but clips with many armors, you can't cover that area of the neck. MithTalk 12:59, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- On the other hand, I'm looking at someone right now in LA who's combined the hood with the Grenth costume. It actually looks kickass: the costume does a good job of hiding the giraffe neck. -- Hong 13:40, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
