Do Cracked Mesas really drop these? Because I've been farming the Cracked Mesas and Stone Crags in Dejarin all week and only the Crags dropped them for me. 85.19.140.9 18:42, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

I solo farmed these in Turai's Procession for a few hours and only ever saw them drop from the Crags. I killed all the Cracked Mesas and Tormented Lands in each run, but the only thing that ever dropped them was the Crags. :( ninestories 22:18, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

I farmed Dejarin Estate in HM for almost four hours to get 3 lodestones. They don't drop from Cracked Mesas, period. A run takes about three minutes to kill three groups of three. Proceed due North from Pogahn Passage. The run is a fishook, right. The first group drops almost nothing; never saw a lodestone in over a hundred runs. The second group, farther North, dropped no Lodestones, either. All three lodestoned came from the third group, a little farther to the east. If I wasn't saving my gold for Nine Rings at Canthan New Year, I'd have done the rational thing and offered 4 Platinum for each lodetone in the aftermarket. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.143.116.2 (talk) at 22:43, 29 June 2012 (UTC).

Surely after 15 mins of attempted farming, it would have been better to buy them and spend the remaining 3+ hours farming or speedclearing something profitable? You'd save much more gold that way. Random Weird Guy 22:51, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I've removed Cracked Mesa, Droughtling, and Tormented Land from the Acquisition section and added a hidden note there and on their respective NPC pages. If you encounter them dropping a Sentient Lodestone, post a screenshot. --Silver Edge 06:12, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

Trey, from the weekly Nick farming videos, claims to have had some drop from Tormented Lands, but at a very poor drop rate. I definitely got one or two from the Droughtlings doing the Rilohn Refuge mission a few times, also not a great drop rate. Don't have a SS b/c I wasn't aware of the general doubts at the time. I'll try to remember to make one the next time I'm out there. 76.164.65.219 06:43, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
Here ya go: Screenshot of a Droughtling dropping a Sentient Lodestone (in Hard Mode). Hard mode may be the requirement for drops as I had very little luck in NM.

I broke down a sentient lodestone for granite. Does this make me a horrible person? --Atanna Charta 04:11, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

This week, it means you are about 3.5k less wealthy than you could have been. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 04:42, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Trivia[edit]

Is the definition of Sentient really trivia? 159.153.4.96 00:56, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

I was thinking the same but chose to leave it purely on the basis of it being educative to some people. I'm not really opposed to it being removed, but it could be expanded by adding that this suggests the stone's are "alive". --Wingsy 00:59, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
