Snow Wurms in Verdant Cascades can be made agressive by doing the Ledfoot quest. Asya 18:12, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Species[edit]
Are these Wurms or Worms? I'm pretty sure they're Worms, but I'm not going to move this without double checking. - HeWhoIsPale 18:08, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- In the preview event they were named Wurm, but they were the size of Worms. I haven't been back to check today. --Rainith 19:30, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm changing these to Worm. They have no resemblance in either appearance or behavior to suggest that they are Wurms. It just seems like a spelling mistake (not the first case). The species of a creature is not always determined by their names. --Curse You 23:15, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Frost Larvae use the same models and they both have throats lined with teeth. I don't think we have an official answer about whether or not worms and wurms are the same species. -- Gordon Ecker 10:19, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Proffesion[edit]
I got a warrior tome from one of these in Ice Cliff Chasm, I've been told only Warrior Primary creatures drop Warrior tomes, so I suppose they are W/RMal 17:36, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
- Just got a warrior tome as well. Same wurms 24.233.254.51 18:47, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Some drop statistics from farming: killed ~ 2100 wurms and received 16 Warrior Tomes.Demis Iss 15:33, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Hidden killing[edit]
Should it perhaps be mentioned.. that if you attack a Wurm as its just gone underground (the projectile is flying as it is gone) that your Pet will attack it, even though it is underground? I've done this too many times to be sure :P Small Was Monkey 20:24, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Same, I have experienced this many times, as well. Though I cannot force it to happen. Always good when it does, as it saves time; and you get the bonus of seeing your pet attack nothing. :) -- Quiesce 17:49, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- Also works with spirits :)--SunJinyu 15:00, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Boreal group[edit]
The group of "about 10" near Boreal Station is actually exactly 13, although they are arguably in two groups, the first being 10 Wurms, and the second, about 20-30 seconds' running later, being 3. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cynique (talk • contribs) at 01:17, 31 January 2011 (UTC).

- There are 8-10 Wurms in the first group depending on the run. The second group does consistently have 3 wurms.74.142.73.58 04:53, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
