Skill Tweaks 07/26/07[edit]

  • Soliders Speed: 33% move -> 25% move
  • Please discuss skill change here. ~Izzy @-'---- 23:43, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Very fair and balanced change. :-) --Dragonious 07:54, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
I think that if you want people to run it, its going to need a 10 second recharge, so that it is a really good cancel stance for Frenzy (low recharge, like Dash), but it also requires another skill slot for it to be worth anything.--Renegade 11:12, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Many other classes, Rangers, Assassins, Dervishes, Elementalists, Mesmers have 33%, why not Warriors? At the moment, this is a conditional sprint.

A conditional, near-maintainable sprint, something Warriors haven't had. GD Defender 15:07, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
There's Rush, with the condition that the warrior does what warriors do. --24.179.151.252 15:12, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
Sprint isn't terribly good, so a conditional sprint isn't likely to see much use. This skill deserves a 15 recharge. Narayanese 22:20, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

So why exactly would I choose this over sprit/enraging/rush again? Right its in tactics, but its conditional... So as long as the recharge isnt 15 or even 10 there really isnt a reason to take it... Rez Meh 01:03, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Original skill feedback[edit]

Too good?[edit]

Permanent +33% speed buff for only 5e? There's plenty of builds based around paragons and watch yourself warriors already that keep at least one shout up permanently - it's too easy to fulfill this requirement. I'd say definitly reduce to 25% buff (in line with sprint/rush) and either up it to 10e or reduce the duration scale.--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:85.92.179.71 .

Yeah good point, I'll reduce it. ~Izzy @-'---- 23:06, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Nice going, anonymous person :D --SnogratUser Snograt signature.png 02:14, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Otoh, it's still an IMS stance with a 20 second recharge. You're getting a bit more speed and duration in exchange for a conditional effect. --24.179.151.252 04:44, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
It also means you give up the ability to use any other stance while using this skill, like all stances the drawback is to have one up permanently means you can't use another unless you give up you current one. 33% movement speed isn't THAT fantastic when I can't combine it with all the other buffs I get from other stances. If you must change anythign get rid of the shout/chant condition and replace it with something else. I hate seeing good skills ruined because of Paragons in PvP. Dancing Gnome 15:07, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
I don't really think this skill is that strong. I never felt a need for a 24/7 speedbuff while playing warrior in GvG. You need it in certain sitations, but that's it. Since you will activate an IAS stance frequently, a 24/7 speed buff is useless. This skill is just a strong as sprint in the end. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:91.9.244.169 .

Anyone would take Rush over Sprint or Soldier's Speed in GvG ANYDAY. This requires heavy investment into strength to be worth it (And to remind you, Strength is a sub-par attribute to put your points in) and is heavily conditional unless your team is built around shouts/chants.

This is in Tactics O_0 P A R A S I T I C 03:18, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Not all teams have a constant spamming paragon. Paragons can be shut down. It's on tactics. Enraging charge is better. The skill is ok this way. --YukoIshii 16:46, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

i love the skill icon. the skill itself seems viable as just a conditional version of similar skills. definately not imba 82.17.92.60 22:25, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello Everyone, meet Zergways new best friend.. Who cares if u cant steadystance, theres planty of new skills that will makeup for it, this is way IMBA, reduce duration plz.69.135.196.107 20:24, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, this would be a (very small) boon to Zergway, and not a boon to much else. It would be best if you could make it comparable to similar skills (sprint), but different. For example: 5 Energy, 25 recharge: "For 8..15 seconds, you run 25% faster. If you are under the effects of a shout or chant, this skill recharges instantly." So, slightly longer recharge than Sprint, but the opportunity to chain it under the right conditions.--Skye Marin 13:55, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

can someone say RUNING BUILD[edit]

just put this on a para... and we got a running para build YAY, or you could even just have it on a war and it revives the running war.142.161.90.233 14:39, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

They already have Hasty Refrain, so they don't need this.213.84.52.71 19:26, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Might as well just use it with "Charge!" imo. Or perhaps a W/P runner?Sshaun007 08:32, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
"RUNING BUILD" as a side note, what do you rune? --Deathwing 18:09, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
I can see good synergy with the shout Enduring Harmony. Sable The Master of Bei Shun 06:46, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
Except for the fact Enduring Harmony isnt a shout, it's an Echo. 69.23.218.165 06:54, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
