Salvaged 10 of these, with an expert salvage kit, the result was 10 bolts of silk. - Poobah

Salvaged over 100 of these at a rate of 95 silk per 100. They almost always turn into silk using expert salvage. Tennessee Ernie Ford 10:37, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Expert Salvaged 24; received 23 silk and 1 glittering dust. 95% seems to be spot-on. Spax 18:23, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Rubbish note[edit]

Quote: "This is one of the few stackable salvage items in the game, making them efficient for farming despite the limited space on a pre-Searing character." .... There is a total of 33 stackable salvage items in the game, that's actually quite a lot and there is very little else in pre-searing worth saving in your inventory. I'm removing the note. These webs are among the few stackable salvage items available to pre-Searing toons. I think this was more a case of poor or awkward phrasing rather than complete rubbish. Nevertheless, I agree it was appropriate to remove: the remaining note already explains the benefits of farming (near-guaranteed post-Searing expert-salvage to silk). Thanks, Manassas, for the clean-up.   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 11:47, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

Are there any other pre-searing items with similar properties?[edit]

The "properties" being:
1. Can be stacked (does not require separate/individual item slots like different weapons do).
2. After leaving pre-searing, can be salvaged by expert salvage kit to yield rare crafting materials.
3. Does not belong to one of Nicholas Sandford's 13 requested stackable items.

Silk Salvage Note[edit]

Pre-searing Webs have a remarkably high and almost guaranteed chance (roughly 95%) to salvage into a Rare Material, which differentiates them greatly from webs in Nightfall. The process involved may be a bit tedious, but the wiki's job is to provide unbiased information about the game, and this is an accurate piece of information that I feel would be worth noting. --Leviticus Lo -Talk PvE Sap 11:03, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

People looking to get silk will look at the silk page, read the note I left here, then decide which type of web they can farm the most easily. Farming in pre-searing can be a little bit faster and more interesting because spider legs can be used for nicholas sandford, but everyone cannot farm there and/or mule, so there also is the possibility to farm those in plains of Jarin. I didn't bother testing on big samples, but I did salvaged around 20 spider webs in Nightfall : they all salvaged into silk. Also I strongly believe that this also works for Ebon Spider Webs and Igneous Spider Webs, although those are definitely harder to farm.--Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 11:18, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
And people just playing in pre will pretty certainly NOT look at a random rare material page. But there's a good chance that they will look at this page. Steve1 (talk) 16:27, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
If you think you have sufficient proof just add it. Chicken 1.jpg Magamdy 17:00, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
