Mask of the Mo Zing

Has someone been removing this? I know many people having been claiming to want to buy the carvings in Doomlore Shrine saying they wanted the weapons, but it always seemed fishy to me. It seemed they were buying too many for just those garbage weapons. No-one ever told me it was for the mask because it's not yet common knowledge. People are trying to take advantage of that to buy the carvings cheaper. Dancing Gnome 19:13, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

I got a superb Charr carving in regular post-searing prophecies a while back from a boss in the great northwern wall, thoguh i dont know if this is normal or not.-insomniac --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:208.80.72.253 .

There are regular Charr Carvings in Prophecies, but no Superb Charr Carvings. - HeWhoIsPale 16:48, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Is it just me, or do Superb Charr Carvings seem to drop alot more often in Rragars?

Saw that people wanted the acquisition section updated, so if anyone wants to format it or anything, welcome to it. I just simply put down the information based on the above drop research.

How to farm?

What would be a good place to farm these fast? There are some places that contains a lot of charr but I just did blood washes blood and there are lots of charr there and I got 12 pieces. Too bad you can't really solo farm them there easily because of the healers. Any ideas? Finsky 07:40, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

12 pieces? That's very lucky for one run with a party (even without). I wouldn't recommend farming them at all though, but if you really want the mask (pretty ugly if you ask me \=) it might be good to farm the charr dungeons so you can get some good loot other than carvings from the chest. If you get a ruby djinn polymock thats ~20 plat, which you could also use to buy alot of carvings. K2K 07:00, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, farming them was slow even when 600ing CoF was a piece of cake. I don't know if it's still possible to farm CoF for them. Anyway you can always farm the rangers in Dalada, just outside Doomlore Shrine, though there are only few of them. It's better to complete a dungeon (preferably Rragar cause there are more charrs) or vanquishing a charr zone. --Lhoj 07:54, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

As of the time of writing this: You can full clear COF solo with a SoS build NM- but the drop rate in NM seems much lower for me. Only about 10 carvings per run. It's also possible to solo most of it in HM. Yesterday I was able to clear half way through level 2 with the same build (though very slow) - From my experience, it's easier to do HM runs solo and just pick off the Charr, rinse and repeat. --124.190.6.22 12:48, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

Acquisition

Afaik they can drop from any lvl 20+ charr in GWEN, so info bout acquisition could be just added as Charr under the appropiate locations. Should I change it? --Lhoj 07:54, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

During the quest "Blood washes Blood" Docu Kindle Shot dropped 3 superb charr carvings, lucky?

It seems that for every field or dungeon i clear i usually get 2 or 3 drops.

On "Warband of Brothers" I got 3 drops quite fast.

1-dec-2010 Did "Warband of Brothers" again got 8 in total now.

4-dec-2010 It seems that if i use Vanguard spells like sniper support I get more drops.

12-sep-2012 I Farm in Dlada Uplands, 0-2 if you start walking from Doomlore Shrine north east route and just take out 4 groups then teleport back to Doomlore Shrine and start again.
