Research Needed

Since the "research needed" tag is often ignored, and i can't do all this alone, i'll list here the things that needs more research:

• Spawn changes (if any) when a beacon gets destroyed
• A map who highlights borders (like the Dragon Arena one), because some part of the map are inaccessible
• Needs research when, where and how many Generals (not to be confused with champions) spawn
• Various additional effects, like Haste of the Gods, are currently unknown and needs to be discovered and documented
• General tips (like in Dragon Arena) needs to be writed.
• Needs confirmation if deaths here count (or not count) towards surivivor title
• Skill research, because some foes may use the new snow fighting skills
• The "Make Haste" skill effect needs research on how, when, where (and *perhaps* who) it gets applied to players
• Needs confirmation if the Generals give morale boosts
• The exact mechanics of the wintersday gits rewards needs to be discovered
• Needs confirmation if Gladiator points do (or do not) accumulate for consecutive wins

There is an effect that makes you deal 20% (or so) much damage after much time passes. Even with this we had a tie :s 95.180.84.110 03:22, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Fury Of The Gods kicks in, I belive(not 100% sure on this) once you get to the 10 minutes left marker. your skills do 25% more damage.Headache 04:42, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Survivor

Apparently deaths in here does not count against Survivor, while still giving XP, just worth noting. Not a good way for survivor though since the amount of XP is low. --Lordkrall 15:55, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

15 or 20 Wintersday Gifts?

So the article currently says that the reward for winning is "15 or 20 Wintersday Gifts". I was recently rewarded 15. How does the game decide which reward to give? --Combatter 20:54, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

The answer is, i don't know... it definitley gives 20 gifts sometimes, but i am not able to determine precisley how and when it does. Apparently it has something to do with in "how much time you win" or/and "your score vs enemy score" --Kyx 23:03, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Return

I was wondering if this will be returning during this year's Winterday in July, since the Dwayna vs. Grenth arena always is always playable during this event and this is also an arena. SuperRobertWa 08:23, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

I would guess yes for two reasons:

• The Snowball Arena is mentioned in the official announcement.
• The devs are clearly doing the least amount of work possible (to give them time to work on gW2), which means repeating last year's events (along with last year's bugs, too, if any).

I meant the Dwayna vs Grenth PvP battle, which is (just like this battle) a PvP snowball fight, and thus it should return. Usually only the quests (such as the PvE version of this) and the finals are not available at WiJ,but the drops and PvP arenas should.SuperRobertWa 08:04, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

the Snowball Arena is a Dwayna vs Grenth PvP battle and is the only contest mentioned by the announcement. Other than that, there's no data about what to expect; the Live team seems to no longer favor us with advance information. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 15:42, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

Why is no one playing this anymore? (Wintersday 2013)

I've been waiting for the past few days in the outpost, but every 30s I get "No opposing party joined. Restarting countdown timer."
