25% boost not "required"

it seems with a rune of restoration to reduce crippled to from worms to 0 and spamming dash u can consistently beat the race... yes he is fast but the worms do slow his overall speed a bit so the 18.75% average speed boost from spamming dash works out fine.... pretty sure this is absolutely useless as far as farming points because its 20 norn points but it is kinda funny to do if bored 71.181.119.183 01:06, 21 November 2011 (UTC)

• Ulfarr is fast. To outrun him, you must use a skill that boosts your speed by at least 25%. Birthday Cupcakes are a viable alternative to equipping a speed boost skill but there are much better uses for Cuppycakes.

• A skill bar of Dash alone with a Rune of Restoration or other item that reduces cripple duration on you by 20% will reliably beat Ulfarr to the northern location. Dash lengthened with Dwarven Stability makes what is quite possibly the worst norn point farm in Guild Wars into an OMGWTFLOLOLOLOLOLOL this guy is slower than that guy carrying that thing in that NF Mission and will win every time.

General Tip

After having run this with all my characters, the method that worked best for me was to go with another person and use I Am Unstoppable and Drunken Master while drunk. A 25% boost was not enough to allow me to beat him. To set up, one player talks to Leadfoot, but does not start the race. The other player moves into a position ahead of Leadfoot, just at the edge of the cutoff where he will not start the race. The runner has a drink and fires off DM, the other player starts the race, and the runner should take off at the same time. This will give the runner enough of a head start to be able to stay ahead of Leadfoot. The player who starts the race remains behind. By doing so, Leadfoot will not change which side the race finishes, so the runner simply needs to follow the prompts on the radar and use IAU when in range of the worms. After the race is won, the starter can head to the finish to claim the reward as only person need beat Leadfoot.HanokOdbrook 17:40, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
