- I've made the page for Countess Nadya, she also used Conjure Phantasm and Shatter Delusions on level 14, not used any of those on lvl 10? Mithos 17:03, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yes also used those on level 10. Didn't see her use them the first time I killed her. Waar Kijk Je Naar 17:07, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

Locations[edit]
Also found just north of Melandru shrine (and charmable melandru stalkers) near bridge. Could the possible locations be the same as the ringleaders? Wrei110.175.241.56 17:29, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- Not sure, might be to early to assume that, can you screen the location, so the map can be updated? Mithos 17:34, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- She also spawnes at Melandru's shrine for me, maybe it's just a third location. 195.132.200.66 18:20, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
Better for farming xp than Vanguard Rescue: Farmer Hamnet?[edit]
answers please --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:85.194.251.74 (talk).
- Very similar in regards of XP gain. The boss might be trouble for some professions though. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:92.204.42.164 (talk).
- Fire Imp can beat the boss on his own, atleast if you tank. Boss doesn't deal much damage as the degen can be easily countered and Backfire and Empathy do nothing if you do nothing. Farming isn't too good because of all the low level monsters that are still around. Also don't forget to sign your comments using 4 tildes (~) Waar Kijk Je Naar 19:40, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- It seems like the mobs are scattered much more than in Farmer Hamnet's quest. It seems to me that I'm getting about as many kills in a run as I was in Farmer Hamnet's quest, while runs take much longer now. The boss makes up for a bit of experience, though. -arnosluismans (talk) 20:21, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- The hamnet quest is far better due to the proximity of enemies right outside of the town. Aro 22:46, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- Also true. But on that aspect, the Undead quest in the Catacombs was certainly the best so far. -arnosluismans (talk) 23:55, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- That depends. If most quest foes are worth only a pitiful 16xp you might savour on a meatier quest boss (128XP). Personally I hate being snared by undead illusionists and loath dealing with hostile lv1-3 (that chips at your health every 10 steps), other than farming nick's trophies, so i'd much prefer Utini Whupwhup. But which everone you think its best, no one quest is worth keeping pernamently when theres a daily 1000xp up for grabs every 24hr for completion. Wrei110.175.241.56 00:18, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- The reason I say hamnet is best was due to my mes going lvl 16 to 19 off it in a day or so. Just zoning out of the area with a lvl 17+ (was that fixed?) 3 times and clearing most of the high level guys achieved lvl 17 myself. lvl 17 exp was 64 per kill, lvl 18 was 48. Wasn't too hard to grind on the few enemies outside of the town really. Far better than death leveling. Aro 03:45, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- Agreeing with both Wrei and Aro. Up to level 19, farming the whole area is much more profitable, whereas having one single boss to kill is better at level 19 (and onwards). 81.242.33.17 12:04, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Display bug/glitch[edit]
It just occurred to me... Normally, Countess Nadya goes like "You will die for serving the false king, Adelbern!" Occasionally, for a reason unknown to me, a different Bandit will say this instead. Just now, I was able to get a screenshot of a Bandit Firestarter saying this message, while the boss herself had said nothing. Also, she was already dead by the time I saw the message.
Is this a common bug? Has anybody seen it happening before, possibly in other quests? This might be interesting to add to the page. Meanwhile, I'm going to figure out how to post images on here, so that I can share my screenshot. -arnosluismans (talk) 20:30, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- image = [[File:User Arno here you put the name.jpg (or png)]] --The Holy Dragons 20:35, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- Here it is: Media:Countessnadyabug.jpg
- As you can see, the message is almost completely faded out because I was only just in time to make a screenshot of it. Should this "bug" be mentioned on the quest's page? -arnosluismans (talk) 00:08, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- Why would this qualify as a bug? The firestarters, et.al. are the Countess' minions, so there's no logical reason why they shouldn't be delivering the line. It's quite possible, the closest minion (if not Nadya) to you when you come within a certain range of them/her, is chosen to deliver the Evil Bad Guy Threat. It may also just be that a random member of the Adelbern Opposition Party gets to be in the spotlight. Kruhljak 06:01, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Foes adapted to the level of the higher level player[edit]
I went today with somebody else. We were: Me: Necro Lvl 14 and Him: Mesmer/Monk Lvl 11. Foes were level 8 except for boss who was level 10. I was the party leader and we both had the quest. I think that the level of the foes is not necessarily the same as the highest level player. Anybody else can confirm? Zahra 00:16, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- You probably figured out (since your post) that this was changed in the today's update. (I admire ANet for nipping an exploit sooner rather than later.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 01:29, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- So now people can exploit this to make Vquesting a piece of cake. Wand attack, wand attack, boss dies, get 1000Xp reward, go back to post-sear for some real action :P -Wrei110.175.241.56 09:01, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I thought it came from the update but didn't see any mention of it when I posted so I was wondering if it might be a glitch. Anyway, it actually makes things easier for me as the other person can't play as often. When he does, he won't be confronted to impossibly high level of foes, so it should be more fun for both of us.Zahra 16:02, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Fought lv18 version: Domination 12 illusion 6 inspiration 6-7 (+/- 0hp when casting ether feast while under my dom12 backfire). -Wrei110.175.241.56 09:30, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Saving King Adelbern[edit]
Enjoy your Foefire. Maybe if you had sided with the royalists someone more sensible would have saved Ascalon. 58.111.64.52 04:07, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Overpowered[edit]
This is up there with one of the most overpowered bosses I've ever had to deal with. Needs a nerf. :/
- Quit the game. Pre is a cinch. If you're stupid enough to attack/cast while hexed with Empathy/Backfire, that's a personal problem. Other personal problems you may have are failing at kiting and signing your posts. Learn to play, and then you can complain about stuff being "overpowered." 68.59.126.206 04:53, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Murderers![edit]
I took this quest, and when I emerged from Fort Ranik, I heard a brief fighting noise, and then the sound of an Ascalonian woman dying. I discovered that a level 15 bandit who spawned near the entrance had killed Mary Malone! (I didn't immediately make a screenie, sadly, and by the time I got back there, her body had disappeared...) Anyone else seen this? Cynique 09:03, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- I remember seeing that, and thinking how Nicholas was going be very pissed at this dude! 76.164.71.104 09:56, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
Premature Death Dialogue[edit]
So, somehow today I managed to kill Nadya without ever really aggroing her specifically with my char. My minions ran over and aggroed her, and then the fire imp followed. After she went down, I ran in myself to clear up a Firestarter that was still tossing flames around, and he uttered her "intermediate dialogue" line. Just thought I'd add this. 69.249.223.63 19:23, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
- just thought you'd look a little up the page and realise this had already been found. 90.206.126.224 09:38, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
