Self weakness ftl.Raptaz 14:05, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- It works well with Song of Purification though... Nicky Silverstar 10:18, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- is the weakness applied on activation, completion, or after it hits? Barkingllama 00:41, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
use this with purifieng veil, -33% shield, and a -20 rune (or is it -20 shield, -33 rune i dunno) this is spammable, you'll have about 88% or so less weakness= ] which would make this self inflicting weakness eat ur pants... i just hope they stack now lol = ] Close Impact 14:56, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Or just plauge sending for the lazy player. 75.51.107.140 05:31, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- lazy players can't micro that much :pClose Impact 14:28, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- Guys and girls, calm down. If you want to use this "Better Than Mighty Throw Attack" skill, you can use a Rune of Clarity to reduce its duration to 4 seconds. A good idea might be, after using this attack buy 1 one more second by doing an Anthen or another attack that can spam a condition. Maybe they want it the player to still suffer a curse alike to Mighty Throw.--ShadowFog 19:43, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
similar to wearying strike ya? 72.45.60.6 19:43, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Think outside the box guys. Combine this and Aggressive Refrain with Plague Signet or Plague Sending for some decent condition spreading or with Melandru's Resilience for a lot of hp and energy regeneration. Thomasuwoo 23:50, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
- (months later) Plague Sending seemed interesting, but in doing some testing, it seems pretty bad. Note that you need 1 above your weapon's minimum (e.g. 10 Spear mastery for a q9 spear) and 5 curses (6 for Plague Signet) so that the weakness effect doesn't REALLY cripple your damage or lower you below the "2" condition push threshold. Even if you have room for that, any other shout or chant re-applies aggressive refrain, and re-triggers cracked armor, and though you can re-send the condition (which is nice) it's hard to time it so that you "send" both conditions and don't retrigger cracked armor right after you send. Sitting with -20 armor in medium range after you've done some life sacrificing is ouch. You can use Purifying Finale to reliably keep Cracked Armor from triggering, but that eliminates half the value of the plague send in the first place, without reducing the sacrifice. Nice thought, but like so many - doesn't really pan out IMO. 69.24.179.187 07:10, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- I should note that I didn't try it with Plague Signet, which obviously has much less downside (no energy use, no sacrifice) but of course burns an elite spot. Still difficult to time since other chants/shouts (even from allies) could re-trigger CA right after you use the signet. 69.24.179.187 07:14, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Pve awesomeness[edit]
Provided you aren't using AR, using "Dodge this!" with purifying finale will clear it right up. With FA and a orders hero, you can spam both each hit 32.147.41.212 21:47, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Grenth's Grasp[edit]
Cripple+Weakness. Is there anything I don't see ?--Ruine Eternelle 19:46, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
- Ehh, Barbed Spear? Da Mystic Reaper (talk) 20:04, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
- ...Barbed spear is nice for triggering the successful attack skill required for Grenth's Grasp . Is weakness removed before or after damage ? Still suffers from blind (grenth's finger can remove it if using pious fury or a similar teardown) and block, takes up elite slot and requires a cold weapon/grenth's fingers so this is a bad combo anyway.--82.240.45.162 20:07, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
- There is also Infuse Condition to automatically transfer weakness to a minion. Sadly, minions don't last.--82.240.45.162 21:50, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
- The weakness is applied after the hit and does not immediatly tranfer it to the foe, you will need a second attack to tranfer it. And if you ask me it's not really worth for the weakness since it only lasts 5 second. You can still use it with Grenth's Grasp if you use Wearying Spear followed by Barbed Spear to remove the weakness and still deal full damage with the next Wearying Spear. If you are a D/P then you can use Guiding Hands to remove blind and have a few unblockable hits to make sure you tranfer the conditions and cripple your foe. Da Mystic Reaper (talk) 11:50, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
- I did some testing and this is bad. Weakness is transfered after hitting so there is still the -66% damage reduction on Barbed Spear... Really not worth it, although I like Barbed Spear+Grenth's Grasp to apply cripple and bleeding (covers cripple) every two hits.--Ruine Eternelle 12:56, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
