- Biography: Aven was born in Ascalon, He lived with his parents and enjoyed his time in the woods. Everything changed when the searing came. Aven left with Prince Rurik and the other refugees to Kryta. There he joined up with the Shining Blade. He was to be married to a Shining Blade girl named Avena, but that never happened as Aven was taken prisoner by the White Mantle. It was there in their mines where he worked as a slave, that his hands were changed into crystal. Eventually Aven and the other prisoners made their escape and took an Asuran gate north to the Eye. There Aven joined in the Vanguard ranks and rose quickly to the rank of Secret Agent. After a serious injury, Aven was discharged from the Vanguard. He headed down to Rata Sum where he worked under Gadd as one of his countless human assistants. Gadd experimented with Aven’s unique hand and eventually shattered them, leavening only his soul bare and exposed where his hands and wrists had been. Through great effort, Aven harnessed his own soul’s power and learned to call forth two separate weapons: A powerful stormbow named Asendil and a righteous chaos axe named Valren. Both manifestations of Aven’s fighting spirit.
