About My Characters
I am a very big fan of Michael Moorcock and Robert Jordan so most of my characters have kidnapped names from my two favorite series that I read as I was growing up. "The Elric Saga" and "The Wheel of Time". I am the founder and current Leader of the Guild The Ancestors of Melnibone. You can find out more about my guild by clicking on the link.
Although no two of my characters can ever be logged in at the same time, they all share some common roleplay storylines to make playing them more fun and to explain certain aspects of "in game" situations. (i.e. - the fact that all of my characters show up "in game" as "guild leader". All of my characters are related or have helped/saved each other. Therefore, Elric trusts each and every one of them with the responsibility of leadership.
I currently have one of each profession making an even 10 characters. Even though I have 10 different characters, I try to keep all of their pages as up to date as I can. For more detailed info about each character, their history and his or her progress through the game, please click on the profession icon on the top of this page.
I am trying to get all of my characters the Legendary Guardian Title. If you are too, then check my charts above to see which one of my characters needs the mission you need and we can do it together.
I have all of the PvP skill unlock packs so every one of my heroes can use any legitimate hero build you can imagine. With a grand total of 260 heroes to work on for all 10 of my characters... I have made a chart to keep track of their progress. Click the link above for the complete chart of all my heroes and their unlock status.
About Me
Hello Friends and Fellow Guild members. I've decided to try to make my own mark upon the Guild Wars Wiki itself and make an attempt at keeping an ongoing chronicle of my multiple personality disorder known as Guild Wars.
About My In-Game Identity
I don't really know what to put here right now... I just know I wanted to put something. In game I am kind of a GW butterfly I guess. I float around and work on little things here and little things there. Never really lifting any heavy weight for any length of time. I never know if I have an hour to play or 5 hours so I tend to do as many of the little things as I can considering I have a lot of characters to work on. I really want to have each and every one of my characters get the Legendary Guardian Title at the very least. I don't like to spend hours in town selling things because I don't like spending my time in game as a sales clerk. If I wanted to do that I'd get a job at the mall.
About Me IRL
I just turned 35 in Jan 2009 and currently live in Las Vegas, NV. I was invited to join MENSA at 13 years old and at the same time I was told if I was put in a room with 1,000 people that only 99 of them would have an IQ near mine. I guess reading adult books got me put on the radar. I don't really believe in the IQ system (as it was back then) since it really only tested your ability to retain knowledge and not actually test your ability to ask the right questions. Anyone can memorize facts, some who can are even called idiot savants some times. The real sign of intelligence is not what facts you can memorize but instead, it is the ability to ask the right question. Which is really the sign of intelligence. Smart or not I am not the best since there are tons of people that blow me out of the water without even straining a neuron... but I am not a dummy. My mommy told me so. If you don't believe me go ask her... j/k...
I like games that involve intelligence and strategy. Of course that's not why I play Guild Wars. I just happen to love online games and fantasy/midevil surroundings and I could never generate enough interest in WoW to invest myself into it. I like Chess but I suck at it... It's to linear. Every move has a text book response so if you can memorize the book and use the right response in the right situation you will always win. However, GO... Baduk... or also called Weiqui has been around for thousands of years and is still played in its original form. The fastest computers today can not compete with an average player of average skill due to the computers inability to think creatively. If you'd like to play a game of go against me please feel free to message me for my KGS log on and we can meet there or @ yahoo games since they host it too.
I play as often as I can, most of the time that isn't as often as I would like. I like to help and enjoy sharing my experiences with others so check out my characters and their progress. If you are in need of some storyline help or just looking for some general PvE fun, please let me know. Message me in game. You can find all my IGN's here, but you really only need to add one- My Main. --> Elric Coy.
About My Wiki-Identity
After carefully reading about the wiki-fauna that exists, I thought about my personality in regards to how I feel about the wiki and my edits and I've come to this conclusion... My influences mostly come from the wikidragon and the wikifairy... leaving me somewhere in the middle closer to the wikiogre who keeps a bottle of fairy dust on his cave shelf.
PvP vs PvE
My point of view
I am not a really big fan of PvP mostly because of the lack of variety. There are only so many maps you can play on in PvP and IMHO after so long they get pretty boring. I am sure that the challenge of going against another human instead of a computer controlled "monster" is very fun and refreshing for most. But, because of the limited amount of "useful" skills in PvP due to nerfs, casting time, cost, etc... the choices for PvP start to get limited. Then you start to talk about the tactics of PvP... which don't really interest me at this time either.
I get bored doing the same thing over and over again, hence the reason I don't farm very much. When I do... its only because I am trying to get to a specific goal (i.e. a specific drop, or a specific title). The PvE world is a much bigger place and a little harder to get bored of. With ten characters (I have one of each class) to play with, three continents to play on, and a choice of Normal and Hard Mode... I think I would prefer to stay in PvE. In addition, there are more PvE titles available to each character than in PvP.
So... For now I am just a fellow adventurer running through the PvE world and trying to explore every nook and cranny. I have 10 Characters at this time... One of each class (so i don't get bored... lol). For the record I own Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North. I have all the skill unlock packs except EotN, so every hero I have has any skill he/she could dream of with the exception of some of the EotN skills. With any luck I can put those to good use.
Excess Inventory
As a busy adventurer I often come across things I dont always need but I often find myself collecting it anyways. Check my Inventory and see if there is anything there you need.
