Generally Useful Assassin skills[edit]
- Critical Strikes are clearly Disp, since the attribute increases both the chance of crits as well as the energy gained from crits.

- Skills triggering on critical hits - MAIN ARTICLE: Critical hit
- Way of Perfection - Is the only interesting skill for this purpose, but this could potentially be GREAT, since Shadow Arts is a viable attribute when using HR, and with a 100% crit chance, this would heal you for 50 for every hit. This is BETTER than vigorous spirit assuming that you hit MULTUPLE TARGETS.
- Dark Apostasy - Already discussed elsewhere in this doc.

Scythe Assassin[edit]
- 12 Scythe Mastery

- BUILD SUMMARY
- While the critical scythe assassins ARE nerfed, this nerf was done before HR, and could in theory be good.
- Estimated crit chance at 19 [14+5] Critical strikes and 17 Scythe Mastery:
- According to the wiki, multiple critical modifiers have BAD synergy because they are NOT added additively (e.g one 20% increase plus ont 30% increase does not give a 50% increase in crit chance).
- PROBLEM: Lots of energy is granted, but very little energy can be spent effectively from Scythe Mastery and Critical Strike. SOLUTION: Must use flash enchantments.

- Attacker's Insight - Good defense even at lower ranks (due to +5 boost)
- Onslaught -
- Rending Aura - Great because it removes additional enchantments, and since targets are likely to be knocked down (due to psycic instability). Also nice because it lasts 30 seconds. However this might be overkill on enchantment removal.
- Earth Prayers:
- Aura of Thorns - To cause cripple (For fragility) and to use as cheap feeder.
- Staggering Force - Great because cracked armor is needed, and this can be used frequently as teardown while only taking one spot.
- Mirage Cloak - NOT good; it can be torn down, and Critical Defenses is better.
- Shadow Arts:
- Way of Perfection
- Unseen Fury - GREAT: Can inflict blindness and also prevents blocking, while covering the fact that the build lacks a stance
- Viper's Defense - Applies poison (which might not be covered by rest of party).
- Shroud of Distress - Only additional viable shadow arts skill i found. But critical defenses might be better.
- Scythe Mastery:
- Victorious Sweep - Nice because of spammability (and there is much energy available to due critical strikes)
- Eremite's Attack - Great teardown, also capable of AoE enchant removal.
- Irresistible Sweep - Remove stances to allow for skills to hit
- Chilling Victory - Great general skill
- Crippling Victory - Great general skill. Covers Cripple condition.
- Malicious Strike - Decent, but I suspect the scythe skills are better, in particular because the trio Chilling/Crippling Victroy + Reap Impurities can be cycled easily, voiding the need for a third skill.

- Elites
- Dark Apostasy - Clearly a disp skill; At rank 19 (easily obtainable even on heroes), it causes just 2 energy loss.
- Vow of Strength - I suspect this is great even if the user doesn't use Eremite's. The issue is that it requires the hero NOT using teardowns.
- Onslaught - Questionable, but i see no other skill that is better than this one or the other 2 mentioned skills.
- Mark of Insecurity - NOT a good chouce; it disables derv skills.
SUGGESTIONS[edit]

- Several synergies with Fragility: Reap Impurities, Cripple, Bleeding, Cracked Armor
- Can remove stances, and AoE attack with Irresistible Sweep
- Strength

- This is likely handeled better with a trapper, if the synergy with fragility is sought for. COMPARE THIS to a dedicated trapper build (even if it is just a simple build with 7 traps).
Assassin - Critical Strikes Super energy management dagger chain spammer[edit]
- SUMMARY
- With 20 Critical Strikes and 20 Dagger Mastery (both contributing to critical hits), plus POTENTIALLY an extra energy managemnt skill like Critical Eye, there will be infinite energy, so the skills can be spammed ad nauseam.
- Specific skills:
- Unsuspecting strike is a great opener due to the massive bonus damage. This is followed by Exhausting Assault to immediately jump to Dual Attacks, since this opens for the sequence Moebius Strike - Death Blossom spam.

- Moebius Strike - Feels like the best option since it allows for crazy spamming

- Critical Strike - Makes the energy management even crazier. HOWEVER, remember that other players might be using "Go For the Eyes" which helps with additional critical hits.
- Critical Eye - Most likely inferior to Critical Strike here.
- Rending Aura - HIGH PRIO: Even without any attribute investment, this lasts 30 seconds and remove enchantment from foes when KD. This can be very useful since Psycic Instability is buffed through the roof.
- Demonic Flesh - HIGH PRIO - This skill is disprop due to increased viability of multiple attributes. At the SAME TIME, it allows for the assassin to use Verata's Gaze.
