Paragon team: Heroic Refrain[edit]
- This was the first attempt i made at this strategy [building a team around HR] (EXTREMELY bad and simplistic compared to this new project; I only keep it for fun).
1. Main Paragon[edit]
- Get 16 leadership and use on self, since this will give a +4 attribute boost!
- Must Haves
- "They're on Fire!" - Excellent if combined with just a few characters able to activate
- Bladeturn Refrain - A permanent 20% block is nice. Many echos will be easily maintainable.
- Anthem of Envy - A MUST HAVE if running a Martial team.
- Blazing Finale - GREAT synergy with They're on fire as long as the team has at least 1 melee.
- Angelic Protection - At 20 Leadership, it makes the maximum amount of damage the player can take per second 50! Even though it has a long recharge, that makes it very interesting!
- PvE skills
- "There's Nothing to Fear!" - Questionable since "They're on Fire!" already reduces damage.
- "Save Yourselves!" - Questionable since there are already other damage reducing skills (TNtF, Ward against Harm, Stand your ground)
- Ebon Battle Standard of Honor
- Great Dwarf Weapon - EVEN if not running a full Martial Team, this skill is useful even if there are just 2 martial allies. Also good because it has a high energy/recharge ratio, allowing you to spend the large energy amount you get from 20 leadership.
- Optionals
- Hasty Refrain - Excellent because it gives a permanent party-wide movement speed boost.
- "Fall Back!" - That said, fall back will last 11 seconds and is much easier to maintain.
- "Stand your ground!" "Stand your ground!" - Good because "Save Yourselves" isn't used due to being superflurous and taking up a skill slot.
- Things that might seem good, but are not
- "Never Surrender!" - +5 Party wide healing, but totally inferior to the other skills considering that we already have super high AoE heals with AoD.

2. Healer[edit]
- 15 Soul Reaping
- 12 Restoration Magic
- (Resto elites do not work due to Great Dwarf Weapon)
- Optionals
- Reaper's Mark - Could be used for better energy management, however this should NOT be needed at 14-15 Soul Reaping due to getting 14-15 energy whenever an enemy dies (plus Signet of Lost Souls)
- File:.jpg [[]]
- PROT
- 11+2 Soul reaping
- 12 Protection Prayers
- 7 Healing Prayers
3. Order Necromancer[edit]
- Blood Magic
- Soul Reaping
- Protection Prayers - Makes sense to use due to the long activation times of the order skills.
- For more skills: See this link: https://pvx-archive.fandom.com/wiki/Build:N/any_Orders_Necromancer
- Elite:
- Offering of Blood
- Well of Power (Nice due to disproportionally benefitting warriors and rangers)
- Life Transfer - Good damage an survivability. also costs no energy, which is nice since spirit bond is expensive!
4. Super Expertise Ranger[edit]
- Build idea: The ranger benefits extra much from the increased expertise, since it makes his skills extremely cheap.
- 16 Beast Mastery
- 12+1 Expertise (13 Expertise is great because 13+4 expertise causes 10e -> 3e)
- 5 Marksmanship (5 is needed since this allows for full bow damage at +5 attribute)
- Note: Great Dwarf Weapon is excellent on the Beetle due to its high attack speed (And it already has +30 damage with HaO and FA)
- Edge of Extinction - Very strong, but make sure we have strong party wide healing if used. Very BAD if combining with a MM through.

- File:.jpg [[]]
- ALTERNATIVE
- Enraged Lunge
5. Dervish[edit]
- Dervishes make lots of sense because they are:
- Good even while clumped, because they deal lots of area damage and can remove hexes/Conditions from themselves.
- NOTE: Avoid using skills that convert your attack damage, since this will nullify order of pain!
- NOTE: Use many adrenal skills since we have party wide adrenaline boosts.
- Optionals
- File:.jpg [[]]
6a. Panic Mesmer[edit]
- Most likely: Panic is simply too broken and overpowered to let go of.
6b Panic Paragon[edit]
- While a paragon with Domination Magic might sound strange, remember that:
- Panic is overpowered.
- The paragon has sufficient energy to spam Panic due to Leadership
- The paragon is a martial profession, benefitting from the martial bonuses
- The paragon will still have high attributes due to Heroic Refrain.
- Chest Thumper - If another party memeber can get Cracked Armor
- Power Spike Unnatural Signet - Just for damaging
- File:.jpg [[]]
7. Locusts's Fury Assassin OR simply another barrage Ranger![edit]
- Idea: An assassin with Locust's fury + an IAS should have the highest attack speed possible, which would be great for triggering Great Dwarf Weapon and Order of Pain.
- NOTE: THE BUILD LOOKS VERY PROMISING, BUT EXTRA ENERGY IS NEEDED ON ARMOR
8a. Minion Master with Dwayna's Sorrow[edit]
- Suggestion: Use Dark Fury on this minion master to support the rest.
- This is especially good considering that Heroic Refrain solves the attribute requirement.
8b. Dervish Support[edit]
- The advatnage of having a dervish support instead of a minion master is that the team will deal more damage and have another martial profession that benefits from the martial bonuses.
Elementalist - Ether Renewal EMO[edit]
- THis is easily worth trying out. It synergy here for several reasons:
- Ether Renewal benefits greatly from increased attributes, since this boosts the duration, health and energy gain.
- The increased attribute points can be very useful for allowing him to use BOTH INFUSE HEALTH and SPIRIT BOND (Two very powerful healing skills provided that energy is sufficient)!
Paragon Support[edit]
- A paragon support is helpful since they provide additional physical damage for the attack damage skills, and because they can provide own bonuses themselves.
- CONCLUSION: The only real reason to use the paragon would be for Anthem Oof Fury, but most heroes can do well without it. Also, the adrenaline management is already good through multiple targets being hit, Mark of Fury, and IAS:
- Optionals
- Spear mastery skills.
- File:.jpg [[]]
Symbolic Strike: Warrior with Scythe Mastery (due to 3 targets)[edit]
Usage of both builds: The builds allow the user to spam Symbolic strike repeatedly, due to many different party-wide damage and adrenaline bonuses.
Optional: Add a spell in order to trigger Hexbreaker Arial and spend the excessive energy. Suggestions:
Symbolic Strike: Assassin with daggers[edit]
- Optionals
- File:.jpg [[]]
Pve Paragon[edit]
- Optionals
- Snow Storm (Instead of "there is nothing to fear")
- "Save Yourselves" "Save Yourselves" - I should have known that necromancer was not the best profession :/ Necrosis is great for damage though.
- Spear Mastery:
- Barbed Spear - For necrosis, but is probably not needed since party inflicts conditions.
- Chest Thumper + Weaken Armor
- Command:
- "Never Surrender!"
- "Stand Your Ground!"
- "Incoming!" - Great for running past enemies
- "Fall Back" "Fall Back" - Great for running past enemies
- Motivation:
- Energizing Chorus - Even though it doesnt help allies, it can be great for personal energy management due to leadership. Also benefits from soldier's fury.
