A question to the people who prefer to H/H (and only those people)[edit]
I know the above is going to get into a player interaction argument, so before that starts lets have a small poll:
Do you interact with the people you are playing with very much when you're forced to PuG?
Yes[edit]
- Of course, I'm stuck with them so at least make a pleasant experience out of it. – Barinthus 04:51, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- theyre fun to troll --Cursed Angel 15:01, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, but, that's only because I never stfu. It's important to note "when you're forced", because I finished all of EotN heroes-only. Vael Victus 02:47, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- I try to, but I find Guild Wars has a much higher percentage of antisocial and/or rude people than any other *ORPG I've played (see the "No" responses, below for examples). Further to this, I think that heroes have done much damage to the social aspect of the game, and allowing 7 would do even more, IMO. - Bekkr 02:34, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- To the no list: whats the point in playing an MMO if you dont interact with your team-mates (anti-social)? And the worst thing is on the GW2 discussion page, most of you are the people who've been slating the dev. team telling them to avoid making GW2 more WoW-like, and that game has a far better community than GW. If anything GW2 should be more like other MMO's it could learn a few things.
(heroes worst thing ever... except ursan lol)- I do interact with people, just not PuGs. Many others behave in the same way (see below). If the ability to control 7 heroes was implemented, people would still probably do guild groups/group with frieds/etc, but those who prefer to H/H would be more able to. Those who don't like to H/H would keep PuGing. The point of this poll was to see how much interaction would really be lost should the group of people who dislike having to PuG get their way and no longer have to. If you compare the yes to the no votes (with the data there is so far at least), it would not have a large negative impact. On another thought I just had, wouldn't taking out the non-social people from PuGs only make PuGs more social? One last thing: if you believe heroes are the second worst thing in Guild Wars, how can you possibly be a person who prefers to H/H? This poll was made specifically (and only) for those people. Permission to strike your vote? — Teh Uber Pwnzer 09:22, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- When I am forced to play in a pick-up group, I convince all the other players to join me on Ventrilo - even if they don't have a mic. Once they realize I am a human being with good experience just like them (and not simply a lvl 4 ritualist with no elites and no heroes) the group seems to perform much better overall. Maybe it's because I can shout in their ears if they /RageQuit. :) Alice 19:37, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

- -- Not really, most of the time it is pretty easy to figure out what to do. Best in game interactions happen in guild. --67.241.10.75 14:33, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- -- Rarely, never if I'm playing with people of my own level, I might help out noobs and talk to them a bit, but for high-end stuff, I generally interact more with my heroes (yes I talk to them...) Ashes Of Doom 00:42, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

- -- Interaction with PuG players? Are you kidding me. :D -- (gem / talk) 22:51, 11 June 2008 (UTC) EDIT: To elaborate, due to the comment of Bekkr above, I do not interact with PuG players because most of them don't share the same interests etc etc, and I'll rather use the chatting time to chat with people in my guild/alliance/friends list since they have common interests and are generally more worth the time. -- (gem / talk) 13:10, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- -- I only interact when they piss me off. Other than that, never had and never will.--Sir Vincent III 23:17, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- -- No. Since the only people that pug seem to be people too dumb to deck our their heros in a manner which would end up with favorable results. Most areas of 8 can be done with 2 people and 6 well-skilled heros. Before heros, you had to because henchmen were non-negotiable, unable to be flagged and had very, very retarded AI. You had decent people available for pugs. Anymore, you get the dregs who refuse to leave their guild and/or are like I said, dumb. 68.185.195.210 17:57, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- -- Nope, I'm Shy :P.William Wallace 19:56, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- -- No. Unless the people start saying funny stuff I just put in a quick "lol" and move on. Or when I have to ask for directions to the quest/mission/challenge I don't know. But that's rare. I just sit back and screw the mobs up. Ninjas In The Sky 12:46, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Discussion[edit]
Guys, Regina's talk page is not a polling booth or a suggestions page. If you want something like this, create a subtalkpage in your userspace, and then just direct Regina to there, rather than filling up this already full page. -- Brains12 \ talk 01:49, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

- Could you rephrase the question? o_O.--Fighterdoken 02:42, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Do you prefer to H/H things over grouping with other people? If yes, take the poll. — Teh Uber Pwnzer 02:48, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, i saw that, which is why i am here, but i am not sure i am understanding the question right, so asking for a rephrasing :).--Fighterdoken 02:50, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I have average American English skills, so this still probably wont sound very clear. Umm, when you have to join a PuG (for whatever reason), do you interact with your group much besides when saying "ping build," "stay back," or other random non-conversational tidbits of information? — Teh Uber Pwnzer 03:01, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ow, ok... in any case, my english is worse XD.--Fighterdoken 03:05, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
