There are many skills in the GW world, but hardly any of the how many skills there are, are usable. So I have decided to make a page dedicated to buffing skills instead of nerfing.

Anything marked with a User The Cabal Green thumbs up.png has been changed at least a little to make it better.

Warrior[edit]

I have no idea what is good and bad since I don't play the profession.

Ranger[edit]

Same as above.

Monk[edit]

One of my main professions.

  • Air of Enchantment Air of Enchantment
    • Should be able to target self.
  • Amity Amity
    • Make it more like an active defense

    • Make it cost less and have a 1/4 casting time.

    • Make it heal more for each enchantment.

    • Change to 20 second recharge time.
  • Dwayna's Sorrow Dwayna's Sorrow
    • Make it have a 1/4 casting time

    • Change to area and make it lose one energy for each ally effected besides yourself(maximum of 5 energy)
  • Healing Hands Healing Hands
    • Make recharge 15 seconds, make duration scale 1..8..10
  • Healing Light Healing Light
    • Make heal more 40..100..120 to make it on par to Word of Healing, make the secondary effect trigger on anything out of the normal(ie conditions, hexes, enchantments, etc.) and make energy 1..3..4(5?)
  • Healing Ring Healing Ring
    • Drop recharge to 5 seconds

    • Drop recharge to 5 seconds and make casting time 3/4 or 1/4 and make recharge 6 seconds
  • Mark of Protection Mark of Protection
    • Drop recharge to 30 seconds, get rid of disable protection spells, and make 3/4

    • Change to 1 second casting time

    • Make you divine favor heal for 5..15..20% more (maybe more than that)

    • Increase Health gain to 10..30..40 (maybe more)

    • Drop recharge to 2 seconds to make it on par to Reversal of Fortune
    • 3 seconds is close enough...

    • Make energy cost 5, make casting time 1 second, and increase recharge to 12 seconds

    • Make energy cost 5, increase recharge time to 4 seconds, increase casting time?

    • Make it able to target self

    • Have a cap on recharge, around 15-20 seconds

Smiting Prayers[edit]

Something has to be done with Smiting prayers to make it more like a few good examples in the line already, for example, reversal of damage. There shouldn't be any direct damage skills, leave that to things like an Elementalist.

  • Lyssa's Balance
    • The difference in the amount of enchantments between you and the person you are targeting should be how many enchantments it removes.
  • Mantra of Recovery
    • Split it in PvP and PvE, making the PvE one with 50% recharge instead of 33%
  • Power Flux
    • Steal 4..8..9 energy, make 5 energy cost
  • Price of Pride
    • Make it like Shame and Guilt except for any elite skill
  • Shatter Storm
    • Should have a cap on the recharge, 20-25 (?)
  • Signet of Disenchantment
    • Something should be done with the lose all energy part because it is way to high of a price to pay
  • Signet of Recall
    • Make the energy degeneration 2 pips instead of all 4 so that you get a little energy during its duration.
  • Spiritual Pain
    • Make it like it was before it got nerfed with less area if there is no spirit
  • Stolen Speed
    • Something has to be done with this one...
  • Most of the Fast Casting Skills
    • No one uses them...

    • Remove Touch part of spell, change scaling part from 50%..150%..175%
    • Like CoF now, which is better than it was before.
  • Unnatural Signet
    • Lower recharge to 30 secs

Elementalist[edit]

  • Arc Lightning
    • Make secondary effect trigger on any elemental hex or just trigger automatically
  • Armor of Frost
    • Lower recharge to 30 secs
  • All Blinding Skills
    • Make them last longer
  • Chain Lightning
    • Decrease casting time to 2 secs, remove exhaustion or more damage and keep exhaustion
  • Chilling Wind
    • Deal more damage, scaling up to maybe 75 because of no armor penetration
  • All Conjures
    • Recharge down to 30 secs
  • Cystal Wave/Tenai's Crystals
    • Recharge down to 15 or 10
  • Double DragonUser The Cabal Green thumbs up.png(It's ok)
    • Make it targetable like ancestor's rage is, recharge down a little to maybe 20 or 25

    • Remove exhaustion
  • Ether Prodigy
    • Remove exhaustion, damage is enough of a counter to spamming it

    • Make the damage into any elemental damage, make blindness last longer, somewhere around 10 secs
    • Don't know if this was much of a buff though...
  • Gust
    • Trigger on any elemental hex, more damage, scacling up to 75 or 80, lower recharge to 5
  • Iron Mist
    • Needs a rework... Immunity makes it too limited
  • Lava Arrows
    • Remove half distance
  • Magnetic Aura
    • Drop recharge to 30 secs or make it block all attacks or rework
  • All of the original Mind Skills (not mind blast)
    • Either drop the exhauastion or make them deal more damage

    • Make it targetable and drop recharge too
    • Lots of damage now with water hexes.
  • Second Wind
    • Needs rework
  • Stone Sheath
    • Needs rework
    • Something like Flashing Blades would be nice...
  • Swirling Aura
    • Drop recharge to 30 secs and make it able to block magical projectiles, like lightning orb, etc
  • Windborne Speed
    • Make it cost less and last longer

Assassin[edit]

(Needs more nerfs/functionality changes in my opinion than buffs...)

  • Assault Enchantments
    • Make it do damage for each enchanment removed.
  • Blinding Powder
    • Lower recharge slightly
  • Crippling Dagger
    • Deal slightly more damage 15..65..75
  • Dark Apostasy
    • Lower energy loss slightly at higher ranks 10..4..3
  • Deadly Haste
    • Needs a rework IMO
  • Deadly Paradox
    • Don't want to see Assacasters come back but it needs a buff. Maybe make it cost 5 energy again, but disables any non-assassin skills, so we don't have perma knockdown w/ SoJ
  • Death's Retreat
    • Lower recharge to 15 secs
  • Desperate Strike
    • Health Condition makes it difficult to use, needs a rework
  • Disrupting Dagger
    • Have it deal more damage at higher ranks 10..40..45
  • Enduring Toxin
    • Needs more degen to be effective
  • Expunge Enchantments
    • Lower recharge to something more bearable, somewher around 20 seconds maybe
  • Golden Fang Strike
    • Needs some bonus damage in there as well, 5..15..20 maybe
  • Jungle Strike
    • Lower recharge slightly
  • Leaping Mantis Sting
    • Same as above
  • Lift Enchanment
    • Needs a rework
  • Mantis Touch
    • Make it deal some damage 10..40..50 maybe and lower recharge slightly
  • Mark of Death
    • Reduces healing to 50%

    • Make the duration part scale as well, up to 75% at 15, includes weapon spells as well
  • Sadist's Signet
    • Increase Healing slightly, up to 50 at 15
  • Scorpion Wire
    • Remove half range
  • Seeping WoundUser The Cabal Green thumbs up.png(Bypasses degen cap)
    • Rework, Whenever target is afflicted with Poison or Bleeding, that foe looses one enchantment, if an enchantment is removed that foe looses his/her stance as well.
  • Shadow Fang
    • Lower recharge slightly
  • Shadow Meld
    • Needs a rework
  • Shadow of Haste
    • Make it so that you can recast it before it runs out at higher ranks
  • Shadowy Burden
    • Lower cost to 5, increase the movement speed to 33%
  • Shameful Fear
    • Lower cost to 5, lower casting time to 1/4
  • Shroud of Distress
    • Move the health requirement to 75%
  • Shroud of Silence
    • Increase duration slightly at higher ranks up to 4-5 at 15
  • Signet of Shadows
    • Buff to uncoditional damage 5..30..40
  • Signet of Twilight
    • Casting time to 1/4
  • Siphon Strength
    • Rework, Target foe deals 10..40..50% Less damage and you attack 15..20..25% faster and your regular attacks deal an additional 1..13..15 damage.
  • Smoke Powder Defense
    • Lower recharge to 15 secs
  • Unseen Fury
    • Rework, Your attacks can not be blocked by enchanted or blinded foes, this skill causes blindness for 1..10..13secs.
  • Wastrel's CollapseUser The Cabal Green thumbs up.png(Doesn't completely suck now)
    • Needs a rework
  • Way of the Fox
    • Lower recharge to 30 secs

Ritualist[edit]

Needs some nerfs as well, but this is a buff only page

  • Agony
    • Increase Damage loss to each foe 1..10..15, Lower Spirit loss to 1..5..8
  • Anguish
    • Last slightly longer
  • All spirits
    • Need a bit more health at higher levels, right now they can practically get killed in one attack...
  • Armor of Unfeeling
    • Damage reduction scales 10..20..25
  • Binding Chains
    • Needs a rework
  • Brutal Weapon
    • Remove the enchantment phrase
  • Clamor of SoulsUser The Cabal Green thumbs up.png(Copy of Caretaker's Charge though...)
    • Rework, for each ally in your party, you and all nearby allies (Maximum of 2..4..5) are enchanted with Clamor of Souls. For 10..15..20 seconds, you have +5..10..13 health (Maximum 175) and +1..2..3(Maximum 15) energy maximum for each ally in your party. All adjacent foes are also struck for 1..5..8 damage per second for each ally affected. (may not work out, but it seems to be bettter than it was before, based sort of on Togo's special Skill, I forget what it's called...)
  • Defiant was Xinrae
    • Increase the Health negation to 10% so that it works kinda like protective spirit
  • Destructive was GlaiveUser The Cabal Green thumbs up.png(Lol, got almost exactly what I wanted.)
    • Remove lost all enchantments clause
  • Disenchantment
    • Last longer
  • Displacement
    • Scale the damage lost by spirit to 60..30..20 so that it can survive more than three hits...
  • Draw Spirit
    • Add the clause, Spirit is healed for 50 health
  • Dulled Weapon
    • Add the clause, Affected enemies all deal -10..13..15 damage
  • Energetic was Lee Sa
    • Lower recharge to 15 secs, lower casting time to 1 sec
  • Feast of Souls
    • Rework, Destroy Target spirit, all party memebers are healed for 40..80..100 health and an additional 1..4..5 health for each second it was alive (Maximum of 50).
  • Gaze From Beyond
    • Rework, Target foe is hexed with Gaze from Beyond, For 10 seconds, that foe takes 1..5..8 damage and an additional 1..5..8 damage if a spirit is in earshot
  • Gaze of Fury
    • Make the spirit deal more damage 5..19..25
  • Ghostly Haste
    • Lower recharge to 15 secs
  • Ghostly Weapon
    • Make the attacks scale, 1..2..3
  • Ghostmirror Light
    • Increase healing slightly 15..75..95
  • Grasping was Kuurong
    • Lower energy cost to 10 energy
  • Mending Grip
    • Increase healing slightly 15..75..80, remove 1..2..2 conditions, Lower rechare to 5
  • Preservation
    • Increase range to earshot, heals 1..5..8 health per second as well, increase energy cost to 10 though...
  • Pure was Li Ming
    • Make the condition reduction affect all allies in earshot
  • Reclaim Essence
    • Last buff was more of a nerf than a buff, change it back to the original version, except that the spirit that you destroyed gets instantly rehcarge
  • Recuperation
    • Lower cost to 15
  • Rejuvenation
    • Increase heal to 1..10..15, Lower health lost to 1..5..8
  • Resilient Weapon
    • Lower regen to 1..2..3, Change to for each condition and hex
  • Sight Beyond Sight
    • Add clause, spell casting times can not be lengthened
  • Signet of Ghostly MightUser The Cabal Green thumbs up.png(Too bad it's only PvE)
    • Needs a rework, something like Order of the Undeath would be nice, if it didn't kill all your other spirits and only affected one.
  • Signet of SpiritsUser The Cabal Green thumbs up.png(Too bad it's only PvE)
    • Lower recharge to 10 secs to make it at least some what more preferable than Offering of Spirit
  • Spirit Boon Strike
    • Reduce recharge to 15 secs
  • Spirit Channeling
    • Needs a rework IMO
  • Spirit Siphon
    • Switch the percents to 25..40..50 So you can actually gain energy from the skill
  • Spiritleech Aura
    • Needs a rework
  • Vital Weapon
    • Add a minor amount of +armor, +5 or +10
  • Weapon of Renewal
    • Switch to whenever target ally attacks, instead of use an attack skill

Paragon[edit]

  • "Can't Touch This!"
    • Make it affect people in earshot besides just yourself.
  • "Help Me!"
    • Make it targetable or rework
  • "Make Your Time!"
    • Needs a rework.
  • "We Shall Return!"
    • Rework, ressurect target ally with Xhealth and Xenergy.
  • Awe
    • Needs a rework
  • Ballad of Restoration (PvP)
    • Revert to 20secs
  • Barbed Spear
    • Add some minor damage
  • Bladeturn Refrain
    • Affect all physical damage or reword to return half of slashing damage or 1/4 if that is too powerful
  • Crippling Anthem
    • Add some minor damage
  • Disrupting Throw
    • Add some minor +extra damage
  • Holy Spear
    • Increase holy damage to spirits slightly to make it slight more like banishing strike of the dervish
  • Inspirational Speech
    • effect all allies in earshot
  • Leader's Zeal
    • Increase range to area
  • Mending Refrain
    • Increase the high end of the health regeneration slightly to 2..3..4 or 1..4..5
  • Remedy Signet
    • Increase conditions removed to 2 to make it on par to antidote signet
  • Signet of Synergy
    • Lower recharge to 8 secs
  • Song of Restoration (PvP)
    • Revert recharge

Shouts[edit]

Shouts in general need a buff to their recharge times. At the moment, they aren't too useful unless there are multiple people using them, a.k.a. gimmicks. Also the motivation line as a whole could use a buff, it got nerfed too heavily before IMO. Many things could be added to the list for Paragons before, but that could make many things over powered.

Dervish[edit]

  • Arcane Zeal
    • Lengthen duration slightly to 15 secs maybe
  • Aura of Thorns
    • Add some damage at the beginning, maybe something like 15..50..60

    • Split into PvE and PvP and change the PvE version back to the original.
  • Crippling Sweep
    • Add in some minor +damage in there
  • Imbue Health
    • Lower cost to 5
  • Lyssa's Assault
    • Increase the energy gain at higher levels
  • Mystic Healing
    • Increase healing, was nerfed too heavily before
  • Pious Restoration
    • Increase the healing slightly
  • Signet of Pious Light
    • Increase the Healing at higher levels
  • Veil of Thorns
    • add some damage
  • Vital Boon
    • Increase the maximum health during duration, decrease healing at the end to compensate.
  • Vow of Piety
    • Increase the healing slightly
  • Vow of Silence
    • Rework or allow allied spells to target you
  • Winds of Disenchantment
    • Needs a rework

Dervish Healing[edit]

What I would really like to see on the dervish is the ability to be a secondary healer, kind of like a restoration ritualist. They have the skills for it, they just need to be buffed or reworked, ex, mystic healing, sig of pious light, etc.
