Issue
The spirit loses too much health by preventing insignificant damage. It dies too quickly, the effect does not justify the high energy cost and activation and recharge times.
Idea
Same effect, but only for dangerous damage. Follow: Spirit lasts longer, energy and recharge are justified. Possibly an additional activation-reduction. If the spirit prevents damage, the allie only loses 10% of his maximum health (not 20%), because the spirit takes 50% of the remaining damage.
Suggestion
Shelter 25Energy 4Activation time 45Recharge time
Binding Ritual. Create a level 1...7...8 Spirit. Non-Spirit allies within its range cannot lose more than 20% maximum health from a single strike. 
When this Spirit prevents damage, 50% of the remaining damage will be transfered to it. This Spirit lasts 20...32...35 seconds.

Issue
The spirit loses too much health by blocking harmless incoming attacks (like staff/wand attacks from average enemys) and dies too quick. The effect does not justify the high energy cost and activiation and recharge time.
Idea
Restrict the ability to block to attack skills, which are more dangerous. Follow: Spirit lives longer and prevents more dangerous damage.
Suggestion
Displacemet 15 Energy, 3 Activation time, 45 Recharge time
Binding Ritual. Creates a level 1...8...10 Spirit. All non-Spirit allies within its range have a 75% chance to block incoming attack skills. 
Every time the Spirit prevents an attack, it takes 50 damage. This Spirit dies after 20...32...35 seconds.

Issue
The spirit loses too much health by blocking harmless incoming attacks (like staff/wand attacks from average enemys) and dies too quick. It dies way too quick, to take out pressure.
Idea
Use the new spirit abiltiy to burn to creat a version of union, which takes enaugh damage for reducing but that doesn't die too quick.
Suggestion
Union 15 Energy, 3 Activation time, 45 Recharge time
Binding Ritual. Create a level 1...8...10 Spirit. Whenever a non-Spirit ally in its range takes damage, that damage is reduced by 15,
the Spirit takes 5 damage and burns for 2 seconds. If the Spirit already burns, it burns for 2 seconds longer. 
This Spirit dies after 30...54...60 seconds.
