cedt[edit]
I'm curious, where did you first hear about Crimson Editor? That's the same thing I use to code for text-based games. :o I would have used it for CS classes in college, too, but couldn't figure out how to make it compile C++ / Java stuff as well as Visual Studio or JCreator does. I really, really miss intelligent highlights :\ Also took me forever to find the "Enable line numbers" option on other compilers... Vili 点 07:33, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- I have no idea. I've had it for quite some time. Also, I've never had to worry about compiling with it - for C++, the school servers have a compiler we're required to use, and ruby comes with an interpreter. I imagine it wouldn't be hard to type code in cedt and then compile it with VS/JCreator, though. -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 22:10, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- Well actually, there is some formatting differences between the two. I've tried to open some of my old C++ish (game-specific language is heavily modified, uhu) in VS, and while it is still all there I need to manually re-add tabs, line breaks, etc. :\ Vili 点 23:10, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- Well, it sounds like either VS or cedt is being bad and removing all your whitespace. :P Find a formatting option that'll disable that. -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 00:18, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

- As much as I like (or maybe 'respect' is the more appropriate word) I don't think I'm inclined to adjust my personal corner on this wiki on the account of "he gets angry". So the banner goes back up, and if Auron has a problem with it, he can come and talk it out with me. -- NUKLEAR IIV 18:59, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Good Drama[edit]
To be honest, Good Drama can exist amoung good conversations, but Wikis? To me, they should be more about information, not about conversation and Drama should be the least of this. I learned from trying to create a few pages on Wikipedia, from trying to also have 'good drama'. I didn't stay, because most of those were high end nosers and despite that I may have been right? they thought they were 'perfect'. No 'Conversation' or 'good drama' would have helped. One was nice enough to inform me that despite I might be 'useful'. But that Wikis were for information 'only'. Just glad this one isn't 'that' strict. Some is okay, but a lot can be more like a soap opera. You want to be helpful and informative, but not... It's difficult really... My thing is you wouldn't want to get overly... 'chatty'. Been there! Done that! We all learn. :-) I don't know about Shard's views on things, even on Drama. Me, I'm not into drama. I left places due to 'Drama' and though some was good; some was bad too. I prefer politics over drama, at least that can be handled better. X-D I hope this helps some. (oops, wasn't logged in.)♥ Ariyen ♀ 08:08, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

"An iPod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPod, and try again." - iTunes, about 9001 times
:\
Vili 点 07:42, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- That's what you get for using bad hardware and software from a bad company. iTunes is terrible, ipods are terrible and overpriced, and they're all pieces of shit :D -Auron 08:31, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- The touch ones are pretty win imo, though still overpriced (nothing else on the market really compares, though, so they can pretty much charge whatever they want with no real competition :\ ). Also, iTunes is a lot more bearable after some recent updates that cut down resource consumption.
- On a more agreeable note, regular iPods can diahf. :D is for Raine, etc. 08:56, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

- Did an iPod do something wrong to you? :( is for Raine, etc. 09:27, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- I worked in a tech repair place for a year or so (sort of like geek squad) and the vast majority of our repairs were to Apple products. Most of what we did for other MP3 players was replacing batteries or sometimes just blowing canned air to clean shit out, the ipods were generally broken beyond our repair, so we had to send most of them in (like, we could see nothing wrong with them, they just wouldn't work). I don't know if the ipod users were just stupider in general, but I'm pretty sure it was just a bad product.
- We also had tremendous amounts of complaints about software, which we had nothing to do with (thankfully). Compared to Zune or Archos or even the generic ass Sony mp3 players, being locked into proprietary music management software that is written poorly on top of a shitty product boils down to a big red "avoid" sign in my book :p -Auron 10:01, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- It is also possible (1) that there are more iPod users than other mp3player users (yeah, show of hands - who has a Zune? Anyone? ANYONE?) and (2) that the owners of generic-brand mp3players would not be as compelled to attempt to get them repaired (I wouldn't get a $19.95 mp3 player repaired tbh, but maybe that's just me).
- It is also a distinct possibility that the reason you observed so many "easy fixes" (as opposed to irreparable issues) in other things was due to the fact that they were of poorer quality; as you said, you typically found nothing wrong (including the things that you regularly dealt with from other manufacturers) with iPods, though I have misinterpreted.
- Still, possibly skewed data is possibly skewed..! However, I do not think it unlikely that you have already considered these things. is for Raine, etc. 11:06, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- Also, you are quite awe-inspiring. is for Raine, etc. 11:08, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- I like Apple ;_; I got an iPhone in Christmas, and so far I'm very pleased with it. While Apple has a few stupid decisions (such as not allowing people to easily transfer data between computer and iPhone through the USB cable that comes with the device), it's good to have one thing that works as internet brownser, MP3 player, movie player, PDF reader, GPS map and cell phone. Erasculio 11:18, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- Dude, I know! I fucking love laptops! -Auron 11:31, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- I tried holding my laptop at my head and using it as a cell phone, but all the cool kids laughed at me ;_; Seriously, though, laptops are too big; I usually have to carry enough stuff with me, so having something smaller is a good thing. I have no idea why people are interested in the incoming Apple thing that looks like an iPhone but has the size of a tablet; if you are going to walk around with something that size, a notebook would be better.
