Players don't need to know the three areas if they're only going to focus on one. You can't find where the trainers are with this wiki, you have to search in article after article. Good websites don't have the information 10 levels deep like this one. Experienced players may know this information already so it's nothing new, but for new players it's something to know so they don't have to go digging in multiple redundant articles. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Athena Kasov (talk).

List of skill quests[edit]

I don't see how that is 10 levels deep. You simply need to use the search box. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 06:10, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

It may be easy for you to find, but new players don't know where to search. You type in skills and you get a list of what all the skills do and their professions but nowhere do you see where to gain the axe or hammer skills etc. The wiki is used intuitively by experienced players, they know what to look for and what search terms to use. First timers see that the game says axe skills and they type that in and expect to know where to get trained in axe skills once they become a warrior, but that's not what shows up. Other games don't call training quests so it's confusing for a beginner, they won't know that what they're searching for is under skill quests or what the name of the quest is or that it'll be listed under "Prophesies Warrior Trainers". The game on the box says Guild Wars, not Guild Wars Prophesies so they won't know what that is. Other new players will get fed up with the wiki and as a result with the game too. Anyhow, just forget it. There's always more new players... --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Athena Kasov (talk).

Well, new players might also look at the Quick links or even think to click on the skill they are looking at in the skills list. The images and the names of the skill both direct them to the skill page that has complete acquisition information. There is also Skill trainers which is pretty easy to find. Adding lists of skill trainers or acquisition points to the profession page is extremely redundant, as well as outside the purpose of the articles. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 06:36, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

GWW:1RR[edit]

We have a policy here regarding multiple reversions. You have violated it on the Warrior page. If you feel that information should be contained in the article, present a convincing argument for it on the Talk:Warrior page, don't simply replace it after someone else has removed it. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 06:51, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Like I said, experienced players know where to look but new players don't. And clicking on Axe Mastery or any other title gives no information anywhere on where to obtain those skills. My fault though I guess, I'm just used to creating organized pages where the basics are gathered on one complete simple page rather over several quick quips that contain no real information other than to lead you to another link to click on. I made a revision so go ahead and undo it (I'm guessing the revision you stated above while I was typing this out), trying to be helpful doesn't mean anything these days I guess. Thanks for the info though, I'll tell my other new player friends as well in case they want to continue with the game. Have a good day/night! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Athena Kasov (talk).

I understand this place can be a bit confusing at first, but it really is laid out and organized very thoroughly, in ways that the entire community have decided upon. As I said, if you sincerely feel that information should be included provide your argument for it on the associated talk page. Keep in mind that if we add the pre-searing trainers, we will also have to add every single trainer/skill quest/means of acquisition for every skill for every profession for consistency. The Warrior article would soon become so cluttered with various links and information it would be unusable. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 06:57, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Nope it's fine, I won't argue anymore about it here and no worries about me helping either it won't happen again. Like I said above, that was my last edit so no more trying. And believe me I do understand about adding the content, I create websites so I understand it. If people created websites with good navigation and simple but comprehensive information then I'd be out of business because I'm hired to fix all those mistakes so believe me I understand about the content adding. But as I just said you don't have to worry about me editing anything anymore on this Wiki or others, I promise =) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Athena Kasov (talk).

Did you try looking for Skill trainers or List of warrior skills or even Pre searing? Also there is a Help page if you can't find what your looking for. User DrogoBoffin sig icon.png Drogo Boffin 07:10, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
I'm sorry you feel that way, we hate to lose good potential contributors. We just ask that people follow the policies that have been determined by the community to be in the best interest of the wiki overall. If you disagree with the policies, or have ideas of how the information could be better organized or presented, we are more than happy to discuss them, but simply deciding it on your own is not in the spirit of this wiki or the best interests of the community. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me, or post a question on our Help:Ask a wiki question page. We are a community that helps each other. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 07:15, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
