Nice template[edit]
Hi. I am new to editing in GuildWiki and I needed to do a User page, but I had no idea about the coding form, so I a little bit copied your User style. I wondered if it was OK with you, if not, I would erase everything with no problems. You can see the page here: User:PatouPower. Leave me a message if you have a problem with this, thank you! User:PatouPower
Personal userspace images[edit]
Hello. Images that are for personal use in user pages or subpages must be properly named; in this case, they need the prefix User Chronicinability; ("User Chronicinability Josospitefull.jpg", for example). They also need to be tagged with {{user image}}, as described in GWW:USER#User images. It'd be great if you could reupload those four pictures you just uploaded to conform with those two policy rules. Once you've done that, you can add a {{delete|reason}} tag to the old pictures, and a sysop will delete them for you as soon as possible. Thanks. :) --Dirigible 20:38, 29 March 2007 (EDT)
- Done! Thanks for help. I'll be out of GWiki mode and into OffWiki mode in no time! --ChronicinabilitY 21:29, 29 March 2007 (EDT)
- Hi, thes two images 12 are too big, the max size is 100kb, there up for delete ~ Kurd11:36, 23 May 2007 (EDT)
- Ther's no way to gt the filesize smaller, its already a GW-created Jpeg so they'll have to stay as they are. --ChronicinabilitY 00:27, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Try to shrink them by reducing size. (You beat me more than once with that "bad guild page"... I think a note "please read guild page guidelines" in summary reads better than "added bad guild page tag"... so people know what to do to get their page right). - MSorglos 15:40, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- The not of please reas the guidlines is in the note itself, which they are much more likely to see than the recent updates page. I can start adding it i just felt that a simple summary was enough since the people reading it are already familiar with the policies we have in place. --ChronicinabilitY 15:42, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

You keep on beating me to tagging bad guild pages! Thanks for that note on Guild Talk:Geeks With Sword, although you even beat me to that :p Good to know it's not just me trawling Recent Changes at the moment ^ ^ AT 05:48, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well some of us have to keep on top of it otherwise by this time tomorrow there will be thousands of guidls with messy pages! haha. And yeh i thought if we have to tag it twice we should prob put a note on their page. Might save us tagging the same one over and over. --ChronicinabilitY 05:49, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Guild guidelines[edit]
Hi. Twice now, you've blanked the guild page I created. Twice, I read through the guild pages policy. Could you please let me know what it is about the policy that I'm violating? And by the way, thanks for the notification that the guild page didn't meet the guidelines. A quick note on my Talk page would have been appreciated. At this point I will not be creating a guild page, but I would like to know what it is that is so bad that it must be blanked immediately. --Nkuvu 19:28, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

User template[edit]
I noticed that your user page shows up in the user templates category. I think this is because you have copies userboxes (in stead of using the inclusion shortcuts) and accidentaly also copied in the [[Category:User templates]] parts. --Lensor (talk) 10:34, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Account Titles Category[edit]
Hi Chronicinability, seems your GvGTitle and BalthTitle pages are using the Title infobox, which makes them appear in the Category : Account Titles [1] page. It's a bit confusing to have user suggested titles appear in that category.. :) Maybe use a plain table with the same formatting? Me55enger 06:53, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

Re: Mousemove notes on the update page[edit]
Hi Chronicinability, you removed a note about a new mousemove bug that I placed on the update page with the justification that it isn't true. The mousemove bug that I mentioned is in fact occuring and I've verified this with other users. I'm going to restore the note, if you want more information about how to reproduce the effect then feel free to contact me. --Pork soldier 04:15, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- The note stated that while hovering the mouse over an areu such as the minimap and pressing the 2 mousebuttons in this no longer moves the character forward. This is incorrect...I can do it right now, its still works fine. Pleas post a note on the talk page rather than start a revert war. --ChronicinabilitY 04:19, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- I just doublechecked this, it's working again - so yeah, that note doesn't need to be there --Pork soldier 04:23, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- FWIW This was happening last night, I verified it with a few other people at the time and it was driving me absolutely nuts. --Pork soldier 04:24, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Infuse Health[edit]
Please stop the revert war in Infuse Health. It gains no one that people are removing it and readding it. We have already made clear it's NOT a problem with the article, it's a general problem with our skill page design, and according to the skill formatting guide, there's no problem with it. Also, a lot of people does not see any problems with it, since they have other resolutions than you have, so they will probably keep removing it in good faith. It would be much more productive if you actually brought the problem up and explained it on the skill formatting talk, so we can solve it. - anja 15:57, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- The problam HAS been brought up, and if people see a Clean-up tag they should NOT just remove it without at least looking at the talk page, if they had done that then they would realise that it was there for a reason! The tag is obviously drawing attention to the page which is what it is meant to do, so as long as its there the problem might get solved, if its removed it will be ignored. So i will continue to add the tag until the problem is solved. --ChronicinabilitY 16:13, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- The problem needs to be brought up and explained on the skill formatting, since it's a general skill formatting problem. I see you have made a note also, let's hope more people will see it.
I can understand you want the tag to stay, but we want to avoid revert wars, as they just mess things up and make people angry, instead of solving the problem. You are not helping to solve the problem by just readding the tag. If you feel this is a big problem, bring up discussion, don't get into revert wars, it's not helping your point :)
As I don't see the same problem as you do (I have a bigger resolution) I can't really argue for a good solution.
As a side note, the cleanup tag is really meant to point out things in the article that doesn't follow the formatting guideline, and everything in the article does, so I would argue it's the wrong tag to have there. I wont remove it (revert wars) but I wont readd it, it's being used for the wrong purpose here. - anja 16:21, 28 July 2007 (UTC)- There isn't a tag to show what is wrong with it, and the cleanup is the closest we have. By having it there like i said before it's drawing attention to it, which is all that it needs to do so it can be fixed. It may also be a good thing for not so regular users of the wiki who see that page to know that if it looks wrong on their resolution, we are at least aware of the problem. --ChronicinabilitY 16:27, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Heya[edit]
Just some well-intentioned feedback, please don't take this as a formal warning or anything of the sort - you might want to see if you can double-check yourself before posting comments on izzy's comment pages to make sure they don't come across as overly personal. While it's nothing that'd really be in violation of GWW:NPA, it does seem to have a tendency to distract discussion from the actual topic, meaning the entire conversation becomes less constructive (and I realize that it's not necessarily your fault that conversations take such a turn). So perhaps just a quick glance over what you write before you post it, a thought about "is this going to make the best case I can for my point, or is it just going to antagonize someone", intentionally or not. :) (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 05:29, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeh sorry, i probably should. I do generally keep in mind and never write anything specifically personal, just sometimes it's just very hard to be as diplomatic as we know we should be you know what i mean? I'll try and watch it more and if i ever did think i'd been anywhere near breaching GWW:NPA i'd be the first to correct myself and appologise. --ChronicinabilitY 05:32, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Talk page revert war[edit]
Cease this now, text should not be removed from talk pages, even if off topic, unless it is constitutes an extreme case personal attack. --Lemming 17:39, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- Fine, stand by and watch the wiki become a mess. I'll leave this one since its obvious you're just going to put the crap content back on the page, but if i see others i will do the same, which is what you , as an admin, should also be doing! Take some responsibility before GWW becomes one big spam-thread! --ChronicinabilitY 17:45, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

- And you don't see that there is something glaringly wrong with that?!?! You really should! And the most ridicoulous part is i can see you banning me for simply trying to keep the wiki usefull, while protecting the trolls and all their crap they post. Sort it out!! If this happens i will simply create an 'Archived Crap' box on every talk page that needs it and just move it all to there. Thereby following policy, and still helping to keep the wiki useable, which is more than i can say thet the current Sysops are doing. --ChronicinabilitY 18:00, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- I see something glaringly wrong with sysops, elected to be glorified janitors, going about applying personal preferences on what content should be kept and what should be removed. And likewise for users. Discussion is good, censorship without a consensus behind it, is not. In my opinion. - anja 18:11, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- Then if that is you're view and you are not willing to help the wiki using your own thoughts, just do what other people tell you, then you should not be in that position IMO. There have been many proposals recently of how to deal with this issue, too many to list, most with very little opposition, yet have we seen the sysops accept one and use it as policy? Of course not because they all seem too scared to and just sit there hoping someone else will do it instead. Then when concerned individuals like myself try and do something good for the wiki, the sysops suddenly think 'ooh i can do something against that and i know other sysops will support me' So they do. I'm sorry for the rant and maybe simply removing it was not the best idea, as i was aware that it was against policy. I have now however rectified the problem and dealt with it in a way that is not breaking any current policies. I don't mean to rant, but like i said before, i'm not going to stand by and watch as the wiki becomes a Spam-Thread --ChronicinabilitY 18:17, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm following policy. Tell me how 'Unarchiving' back onto an already too big page is following policy. --ChronicinabilitY 18:21, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- A sysops job and responsibilities are clearly defined, as are site policies. As for removing off topic dicussion on a talk page, that you describe as "pointless content", it is on a talk page, it is not part of the content as such. A decision was made at some point that random censoring of talk pages, whatever the content is, is not permitted, and this is the rule we uphold. You should not be yelling at the sysops for not overstepping their bounds in this situation to support your opinion in this matter. If I was to decide, hey, I don't like this guy yelling at me for doing my job wrong, I am going to ban him, how would that be any different? --Lemming 18:41, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- No-one has yet to answer why a policy has not been put in place to spefically deal with these problems though! There are many proposals and suggestions, formalise and accept one! Then you can go about being janitors again. Personally if i get time i will write a new proposal for the sysop roll, present it to the community, which will then most probably require a re-election of sysops. Because simply as it is, if you feel you are doing all you are meant to, then it is just not working! Having said all that i do appologise for my tone, it wasn't meant to be aimed specifically at anyone, and i have worked within policy now, and will do from now onwards. --ChronicinabilitY 18:48, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hope you're in a better mood now. You and me, we both know you weren't archiving. You were trying to hide a comment you disliked. And community consensus is strongly against that. But as it happens, policy for this has not been finalised yet, so it's not a sysop matter. The page has been restored now (and some archiving has been done, you right in the need for that). I hope we can agree to leave it like that. Backsword 21:50, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Again you have mistaken the role of a sysop, we do not have superiority to decide which policies to accept or turn down. That is the communities decision. If a consensus can not be reached then it is clear that policy is not widely supported or justified. I am sorry you feel the way you do about the sysop programme here, the type of sysop you are proposing has been suggested previously and was turned down by the community. You are well within your rights to start that discussion up again, in fact it already has here. Again, do not shoot the messengers please. --Lemming 18:53, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- No policy is defined to deal with such problems, because not enough people find it to be a problem (and have strong enough arguments to form a consensus), I think, Chronicinability. - anja 20:32, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

- Oh, I rarely leave my watchlist unless a page on my watchlist leads me there; I think the first 100 or so links are from when I was first roaming the wiki, and nothing had my signature on it yet. From there on out, just like you, I don't post too much on other pages, so the number just climbs slowly. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 17:43, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
Lemming64's RFA[edit]
In case you haven't been watching RFAs, Lemming64's reconfirmation has started, and several users have been asking for the original reasons for the reconfirmation request. It would be nice if you could elaborate on your reasons for the reconfirmation request that was made. -- ab.er.rant 03:50, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
