Have the Rit bring minions, provided that Explosive Growth etc proc. Don't even need high Death Magic. --DANDY ^_^ -- 12:51, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

I'll test that now, but I guess Jagged Bones triggers Explosive Growth for its caster, not for the controller of the minion on which it is cast. Sounds consistent with the fact that the jagged horror is the jagged bones user's minion. Not sure that this will have much use though, except perhaps if AoE from Explosive Growth causes foes to scatter. Jagged Bones is an elite skill for heroes anyway.--Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 13:51, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Edit : I was wrong, the jagged horror belongs to the owner of the first minion created.--Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 13:59, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
I just tested it, it works (Explosive Growth too). --DANDY ^_^ -- 14:02, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Yup same :) My rit first used one skill to summon minions, and had ExGrowth and Boon of Creation up all the time. The two enchantments triggered each time a Jagged Bones was summoned, even though the skill was used by another team member. The jagged horrors are considered to belong to the previous minion's controller.
On a side note, this could be put to good use to renew minions walls while still dealing damage and getting energy for backline rits. The main problem is the 15s recharge of Jagged Bones.--Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 14:07, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Yeah I'm going to run double Jagged necros. The other one will probably bring Barbs/MoP or some prot skills, meaning I'll free up Foul Feast too for a 3rd spell. --DANDY ^_^ -- 14:22, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

Advantages : heal, damage, energy management, things that trigger on death. Drawback : Need corpses, Minions have an erratic behaviour and are vulenrables to AoE damage, problems with enchantment removal, though it should remove death nova most of the time, need several Jagged Bones users--Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 14:27, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Doesn't really need many corpses since you'll keep whatever corpses you get alive + AoTL makes minions out of thin air. Shambling is overkill on minions, you're already mostly on the cap of 8. I just tossed in Splinter Weapon + Ancestor's Rage + Flesh and called it done. --DANDY ^_^ -- 19:02, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Turns out you should probably bring a minion skill on one of the necros just because you keep hitting the 8 minion cap. That or only one Jagged necro. --DANDY ^_^ -- 20:46, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I don't get what you mean. The point is to abuse exgrowth, Spirit's Gift and Boon of Creation. Those will trigger :

  • For each minion summoned via AotL (big spike with enough corpses, hence why the idea of using one or two bomber could be interesting)
  • For the shambling horror and the jagged horror spawned by Animate Shambling Horror (stacks with Jagged Bones' one)
  • For each minion summoned via Animate Bone Minions (which means twice the effects).
  • For each jagged horror from Jagged Bones (the only way which doesn't requires a corpse => to improve the frequency of use of the skill, need of several JB users, since one JB user can only maintain the ench on 2 minions :/ )

The first limit is the number of JB users, not the number of minions. On a last side note wasn't that skill 5s recharge before ? It's such a pain to find a use with 15s... Ruine.--82.240.45.162 00:17, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

I meant that the build functions relatively well even when there are few corpses. AoTL makes 1 minion even when there's nothing to exploit, so even that one minion goes a long way. Obviously more corpses are better, though.
Having said the above; since the Rit is almost constanly at 8 minions it could be worth bringing Shambling Horror (because of long recharge) on one of the necros to eventually build up to 12 without really slowing down the bombing of the Rit. You're anyways likely to kill a bunch of minions on casting AotL. On the other hand, which is what you're trying to say I think, the other army eats away the Rit's bombing power. --DANDY ^_^ -- 06:09, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
Exactly. To me, only the rit should own control over the minions. You can always bring a second rit if you want, but you probably won't have enough corpses. The 3~4 JB users should really only spam death nova and other damaging/controlling/healing moves (Zealot's Fire damage is a good idea / Curses crowd controller /SoLS Resto are great especially if using necros due to the high energy refund from Soul Reaping-SR being the reason why discordway has been so efficient so far).
  • Side note idea 1 : Blood of the Master is great in keeping the minions alive a bit longer, the health sacrifice isn't such a problem since Boon of Creation also gives health.
  • Side note idea 2 : Feast for the Dead/Taste of Death/Putrid Flesh can accelerate the death of one minion to force-trigger JB and Death Nova.
  • Side note idea 3 : while i'm still at it, the second rit can go SoS...--Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 09:54, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
I thought about Blood of the Master, but keeping minions alive is detrimental to the energy management of this composition. Minions don't die, new ones aren't created, everyone runs out of energy.
Minion destruction skills would be a good idea if heroes had any idea how to use them. Quite likely the entire army just blows up instantly.
SoS is good.. or more specifically, channeling is good with minions. --DANDY ^_^ -- 11:09, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
I like Feast for the Dead on that. The skill isn't so good in itself, but one minion dies (-> triggers JB, Death Nova, BoonofCreation, Exgrowth, Spirit's Gift) while the others get a good healing blast (increased via Spirit's Gift). Counters a bit the problem with AoE, which is that all minions die at the same time...Blood of the master is a good anti-AoE skill, and AoE is the biggest threat to the team.--Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 13:41, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
Edit : here is the teambuild I've come up with.--Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 17:42, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
