Welcome message[edit]
Just curious why you are welcoming someone that has been here since at least September of last year. Kokuou 10:57, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- The user page redirected to the talk page, which resulted in a Broken Redirect. I'm helping to clean up the wiki (broken redirects at the moment), and discovered that although a couple of people have been here for some time no one has welcomed them. Tis a bit sad to enter a community without a welcome, no? Elenya (T) 11:04, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- Meh. Personally, if I'd been here for six months and someone posted a note welcoming me, I'd be confused to say the least. Just be careful you don't end up with another situation on your hands! :D Kokuou 11:42, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- I believe I didn't welcome them as a new user. I used 'Belated Welcome' along with other wording to show I knew they're not new community members. Both have been here since September and have contributed, but with no welcome from anyone in the community -- to me that is sad. Also, I doubt it'll get into a situation similar to what you describe as I try to avoid drama. If I offend (which wasn't my intention) then I'll simply stay away. Elenya (T) 11:58, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ya, I suggest watching out for people who have been here a couple + months ;) — ク Eloc 貢 17:07, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- *reads to see if she's been unclear* Just in case --> I knew they'd been here for a couple of months, and I wasn't trying to offend anyone. My main purpose in welcoming them was to fix a broken redirect from their user page to their user talk page. As I stated earlier, if they tell me they're offended, I'll stay away and not do as was done in the situation linked to by Kokuou above. Lastly, it seems this may turn into something similar (albeit with 3rd parties who're not involved in the matter), so I'm now bowing out of the discussion. :P Elenya (T) 18:22, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Hello![edit]
Hello! Just wanted to leave you a note. I used elements from your pages at mine. Edited some too and still have a lot more pages to add (all the checklist things).... but I have done enough for today. Anyways just wanted to say thanks and you rock! Foxysheri 01:20, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you! :) The basic layout of my CharPages comes from Kakarot's character template. I modified it to better fit my design taste (such as a 3Dish type of look, etc.). The HoM, MD, CES, & V layouts are my own design (created back when I was using Lensor's CharTemplate) since it's too much info for the main char page yet I wish somewhere to keep track of those activities (especially for my primary characters). The nav bar for my characters is the basic nav bar found all over the place on GWW, copied to my space and modified slightly. --- I'm now working on a flexible CharPage template, and have almost completed it. It's a multi-part template which contains the HoM, MD, CES, V, Titles, & Heroes portions in support of the main CharPage template (about 13-14 templates in total I believe). Others are helping me test it so I can work out the kinks before I port it here. Hopefully I'll be finished in the next week or so, depending on how rl treats me. :) Elenya (T) 10:21, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Very cool! I used to use a similar char template as well, but I think this one looks more polished. The sub-pages also are a dream to help keep track of what I have done and need to do on my main characters. I just started working on the HOM and Mission pages today, and now it will be a lot easier to see what I need where instead of logging between characters all the time when someone needs help with something. Thanks again! If you need help testing anything just let me know and I can try to help ya too. /hugs! Foxysheri 17:34, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- I noticed you based your character pages on my template, looks good :) However one thing I noticed about them is that the title progress bars seem to be centering themselves moving the actual bar out of the border; I had the same problem when I first made my template; to fix it just add
; text-align:left
to the start of the table holding them (not including the progress bar line 3 lines up). The line would end up as{| cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 style="background-color: transparent; text-align:left"

- Thank you, I absolutely love your layout as it makes all the information available yet nicely compacted. :) The table holding them already contains
text-align:left
in the style tag in all my characters except one, my warrior ( Elenya Ohtar ). D'oh, thank you so much for alerting me, I don't know how she slipped through the cracks. Whilst checking it out, I also found another IE display problem which I need to correct, my char nav bar is horrid! So huge! I'm a die-hard FF fan so rarely check IE, shame on me. :( *hugs to both of you* Elenya (T) 19:11, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

- I was originally going to use Lensor's character template since I liked the look of it, however I wasn't happy with the amount of space it would take up as in the end I would like to have all my characters on one page if possible. Because of this I ended up making my own template trying to include the information I wanted most on it, while at the same time making it a reasonable size. My most recent addition; a Hall of Monuments link; was added after seeing your character page, I had completely forgotten it when I added my character links. Hopefully you'll figure out the display problem you mentioned :) --Kakarot 20:18, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
User + Character Pages[edit]
I was wondering if it was all right to use your user + character pages as a base for mine? I'll give credit to you. It's a lovely design overall, and I think that it would look nice for what I would like to put on my user page. :) --Zakek Xek talk 21:31, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for the nice compliment. :) I don't mind you using it, and thank you for crediting me. (Sorry I was so slow in replying, my notebook died so I have to borrow a PC till I get it fixed.) Elenya (T) 09:22, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
